Sorry for the delay girls - I had a long weekend down the shore with FH's family and one too many tequila shots!!!!!!!!
So this weekend, while a fun one, I found out we are down a GM...FH's BIL does not want to be in the wedding...long story he doesn't remember FH really asking him..which he did - I was standing right there! So he told him he doesn't really like weddings, he doesn't wanna be in it.... It's just such a pain and another obstacle to overcome.
So the QOTD is (it's 2 parts)....
What has been the biggest obstacle you've dealt with during the planning of the wedding? And who in your bridal party has been the biggest PITA?

So for me the biggest obstacle has been FH's family - well really my FSIL and her fam - they love to be the center of attention and her husband not wanting to be in the wedding is just another example of what I'm up against! The biggest PITA has def been his sister though!!!

thankfully nothing that serious, just money has been our only real problem. As for the biggest PITA, I thought it would be my FMIL but she has been very good, although we are still far away, so that may change lol

For me, the biggest obstacle has been my own family. My sister and mother have not been the most excited or supportive people. My mom has been getting more excted but my sister is a lost cause! grr!

One of my BMs has been a big PITA but, she has calmed down. Now my sister, MOH is a PITA, she doesn't want to wear the dress all night and doesn't want to do her hair or make-up. She doesn't know how to do her hair or makeup so I am having a problem with this, she is a big tom boy. The biggest obstacle is the budget

oo thats a good question.
Biggest obstacle so far (and not much planning has been done) is chooseing the bridal party, specifially the FG and RB and other kids. FH and Mom want to keep it traditional and have both FG and RB, but all the little kids in my family I have only met once (2 months ago!) and i dont feel comfortable having them in my wedding. The other part to that is there are soo many lil cousins it would be impossible to choose. I vote we have no kids, but this has been the biggest PITA!
And.. the biggest PITA person in my Bridal Party would have to be my mother! ugh.. our visions are soooo very different and its so hard to talk to her about this stuff she takes everything so personal when i give her my opinion and then acts like a little child and wont talk to me at all. Somedays i wanna elope!

hm... biggest obstacle is probably flowers.. I can't decide what I want! That and guestlist.. we narrowed it down but somehow we keep adding more.
Biggest headaches have definitely been the moms telling us what to do.

The biggest obstacle was finding a venue I loved that was close enough for my New Jersey family to get to without getting lost (they think getting into manhattan is an adventure on its own)!
Initially all my BM's were PITA bcuz none of them could agree on a dress. Now that that part is over, so far everyone has been fine.

My biggest obstacle would have to be my sister NOT being my MOH and that I'm not thrilled about my dress. FSIL has been the biggest PITA( she doesn't answer phone calls or respond to ANYTHING). But everything is pretty much manageable.

nothing too serious thankkfully. my mom has been super pushy which has been realllyyy getting to me lately. other then that, just stuff with my bridal party (choosing who i want in it etc.) thats it really. keeping my fingers crossed that nothing too too bad is going to happen.

For me the biggest obstacle has been finding the time to plan the wedding while in school full time and working. The biggest PITA has been my sister, who is demanding that her dress be different than everyone elses (even though there is also a Matron of Honor to her Maid of Honor) and that her dress look expensive. Mind you, because she just graduated college and is broke, I am paying for her dress!

Ok unless I read Christine's answer I didnt know what PITA meant haha..
The biggest obstacle was my mother hating the church that we are getting married in. She thru a big stink bc we went there to see FH's bro get married. Since we are not religious and Fh's fam is, I let him pick the church. It meant a lotto him and to his family. So Of course, I let him choose. Well apparently this was ahuge deal to my mom. She caused a HUGE stink and we were not speaking for about a month. She finally chilled out and we worked it out. I think that bc my mom didnt have a good relationship with her in laws, she thinks that all inlaws are as tough as hers were. However, FH's family and I get along great. I am trying to include them in everything and she thinks that it should be all about the bride and her family. We do not see eye to eye on that at all....
Sorry to babble but that was the only issue that we have had...
Oh and the flowers I changed my mind about-0 FH thinks that I am nuts but I will make him see what I mean...
I think I am starting to make myself nuts but no one else yet hehe... YET

the biggest PITA so far has been one of my BM... my BF...she doesnt like the color or the dress and is practically refusing to wear it!!! she thinks she looks too fat and any other dress or color i choose same issue.... oh well she better suck it up or shes out!

the answer to both is FIL's, FSIL are in the BP and they're the BIGGEST PITA'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FMIL makes EVERYTHING difficult and tries to make me feel guilty for wanting to have a nice wedding!

My obstacle is going to sound ridiculous - I want to find a big doll house that I can paint and turn into a haunted house card box and I haven't found anything I like yet.

the biggtest obsticale so far (which I have to say was not really that bad) was finding a DJ...Again Im sure there will bemuch bigger obstacles to come
Biggest PITA has been my FSIL she is prego and gave me a hard time about ordering the dresses blah blah but FH told me if I have any more problems he will kick her out LOL of course I told him NO she's just hormonal

I think overall the biggest obstacle to overcome has been family in general on both sides. They just love to throw their two cents in and it seems like every time FH and I make some sort of decision they have 'concerns' about it. And what are their concerns? BASED ON THEMSELVES! They don't want to stand out in the cold for 10 mins to take a couple family shots if it is nice weather!
Ok, it is 10 mins and this is IF the weather is decent and this is not your day! GRR! LOL
Also I would have to say that the biggest PITA bridal party member has been FSIL! She is SOOOO annoying sometimes! And only thinks of herself and how the day will effect her!

my biggest obstacle so far has def been people not rsvping to the engagement party. we are still waiting on alot and the rsvp date was today. its making me crazzyy lol
