***QOTD 8/4/10***

So, every week it seems like the laundry just never ends. I was talking to FSIL who has 2 kids and she was saying she does like 4 loads of laundry per week. I said, no way, cuz I do about 4 loads/ week. And its only the 2 of us! She doesn't understand where my 4 loads come from.

On average I do about 2-3 loads of color clothes. 1 load of towels. Then every other week I do sheets. And when the whites pile up I do that, prob every 2-4 weeks.

So my QOTD is, on average, how much laundry do u do per week and for how many people?

in the winter i do about 3 or 4 per week
in the summer i do betweeen 4 and 6 per week.
...............i also noticed that when I do smaller loads the clothes come out cleaner
you could also have a smaller machine than her thats why she does the same amount?

We drop off one large bag for two people.

Once a week.

We pay for it to be done.

Laundry sucks the big one.

Its just DH & I.
I do 8 loads a week. (black, greys, whites, colors, pajamas, my work clothes, DH's work clothes & jeans) We do not have our own washer/dryer, I use my parents so I only do laundry on the weekend.
My parents machines are older so you really can't put lots of clothes in at one time. This is very true because at their house upstate, NY, they have a brand new set & one weekend I was able to cut my usual 8 loads down to 5 loads.
So it is possible that your FSIL has a very new washer/dryer set.

I can't accurately answer this question. There are 4 some times 5 of us in my house including 3 kids. We do laundry everyday! Sometimes on the weekends my FH spends the entire weekend doing laundry. My best guess would be between 10 and 16 loads of laundry on an average week!
