QOTD 9/11/13 - Long Island Weddings

I was working in mid-town manhattan and my office was the entire 28th floor with a clear view of downtown. When I walked in everyone was standing looking out the window. The first plane had hit and we didn't know what was goin on. We saw the second plane fly around and thought it was someone going to help but we were wrong...I watched the second plane hit the tower. Everything is hectic and a blurr from that moment on...eventually I saw the first tower fall and then we were evacuated. I ran through time square to meet mother with a fear I never felt before. We ended up walking over the 59th street bridge into queens and continued until what felt like forever.
It is a tragic day that is stuck in my head forever. I still remember what I was wearing, the weather and everything about that day. God bless everyone who lost someone on this horrible day.
