i am definitely going to start a bunch of my own that I love love love the ideas of. but one thing I am going to do, since I am OBSESSED with the holiday season is noon breakfast and opening gifts at night on christmas (i know- torture for kids but when your brought up that way you don't know any better) we spend the entire day in our pajamas just a family (when i have kids my parents will obviously join us), but for now, its just my family and we LOVE it!!! I love this and want to continue because it helps kids learn that christmas is all about family, not gifts and the gifts just enhance the day. but spending time as a family is better than anything and I want my children to realize the importance of family on holidays and not gifts

FH's grandma always cooks Sunday dinner and it has definitely become routine for me and FH to go to his mom and grandma's place every Sunday. I definitely want to spend one day a week cooking a good family style meal for FH and our (future) kids.Another tradition I love is opening Christmas presents on Christmas morning. My family doesn't do that, we couldn't wait that long. But FH and his family always wait till Christmas morning.
If we move away from LI depending on where my job takes me, I will make sure to incorporate these traditions I've learned from FHs family.

We actually started a sort of tradition all together. My family used to have a big Thanksgiving dinner, and so did FH's. In the past few years, for different reasons, my family members (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) have gone their separate ways to do different things. So since FH's mom hosts Thanksgiving every year, she's invited my parents and brother to her dinner this year. Same goes for my mother inviting FH's family to our Seder (the traditional Passover dinner) last Passover.I plan to continue sharing holidays with all of our families. I can't wait to own my own house so I can host. I plan to make them pot luck holiday dinners, so that we don't have to limit the amount of people we can invite. I love that our parents have embraced each other and I want to continue that for sure!

We've always done the 7 Fishes on Xmas Eve and then a big Italian dinner on Xmas Day with my immediate family. We will definitely continue that tradition.
