Getting an early start today so I don't forget! When you purchased your wedding dress, was it the type of dress you always pictured yourself in or was it something you tried on thinking you would hate and ended up loving it?

I dont know that I ever pictured myself in a specific dress... I think I always imagined the feeling, and dreamt about the man at the end of the aisle. I knew that I was a 'vintage' girl... but didn't know quite what that meant as far as dresses go. I always loved the feeling of a birdcage veil, but didn't know if I wanted to wear one. In the end, I tried on a variety of dresses, some I liked that I didn't think I would, some I hated that I thought I would like... and I am BEYOND thrilled with the dress I landed with :) Can't wait to put it on again!!!

There were two dresses I loved and both did not love me..LOL.. They did not look good on at all. After ten dresses my mom told the girl to try this plain little strapless number with a 'bling belt' I fell in love the second she put it on.. It flattered me so well and was so light and comfy!! Mommy knows best!! But definitly not what I thought I would like LOL

I never really had a vision of what type of dress I wanted. While looking online for dresses, I saw my dress and just knew that was the one. I tried on a few other dresses that I liked but not 100%. When I finally tried on the dress I saw online, I knew my instinct was right.

I always knew what I was looking for. I had certain 'criteria' that the dress had to have, lol. When we first got engaged I was looking through a bridal magazine and saw my dress, but it was only a picture of the front of the gown. My FH pointed to it and said 'that's nice!' When I went dress shopping, I gave my consultant a description of my 'criteria' and she ended up pulling the same dress FH had pointed out. I doubt he remembers the dress, but I can't wait for him to see me in it!

My dress ended up being opposite of what I 'thought' I wanted. I kept trying on the same style, and may of them I liked, most looked great on me, very flattering. But I didn't LOVE any of them. Finally on the last time we went shopping I tried on some different silhouettes, something more toward a ball gown and I was intrigued. Then I tried on the one, which is a full A-line and completely different from any of the others and I just fell in Love! lol I am obsessed with it. Now I can't wait for FH to see me on our Wedding Day!

Not even close! I imagined myself in a super feminine A-line and I ended up in an understated lace trumpet gown! Surprisingly, the A-lines didn't flatter my figure. I'm a bit heavier on the bottom but they just seemed to accentuate it even more - who would have thought? No bueno lol

I had never really had a picture of what i thought my dress would look like. But because im a bit bigger on top i was not interested in looking at anything strapless. It made dress shopping pretty challenging in the beginning. I fell in love with my dress - which is strapless but has an additional lace 'jacket' to cover everything up top. i love it.

My dress is very different than what anyone thought I would get. It's all lace with a long train. I love it.

I never thought I would have a strapless dress and I really pictured myself in something HUGE, but I went for an elegant lace vintage dress that I personally think is the most beautiful dress in the world lol.

my dress was exactly what I thought I would end up buying. I have always been good at looking at an article of clothing and knowing right away if it'll look good or bad on me. I printed out 4 pics of dresses I liked from the Pronovias website, and they had (I think) 3 of the 4 in the store. The second dress I tried on was the dress I picked, and it was also one of the dresses I printed from online.

I thought I was going to wear a satin strapless A-line dress, since these are some of the most common and they are really nice ones. But turned out I fell in love with a french tulle haltered mermaid. Not at all what I pictured myself wearing in the beginning!

my dress is not what I had envisioned. I thought I would have head to toe lace, not strapless, keyhole back, more trumpet style & instead it is fit & flare with a lace bodice and toole bottom & strapless.

I always thought I'd wear a big ball gown with tulle. I wound up getting a lace, strapless, a-line gown!

I didn't buy my dress yet, but I always loved and wanted a big ball gown. When I tried it on, it was totally not for me! I now love fit and flare style, lace gown.

I never envisioned myself in a specific dress, but I knew I didn't want a huge ball gown since I am tiny. I ended up going with an A-line which has a full skirt. I also never wanted strapless, but go figure my dress is strapless!Welcome New Vendors
