*QOTD 9/9/13*

I hope I remember to log on every day this week for the QOTD

So FH and I were talking over the weekend about all the little things we still need to do. Our list started to grow, making me nervous that there is still so much to do. I wanted to try some DIY projects but I'm not crafty at all so today's question is:

What DIY projects have you done for the wedding or want to do? Feel free to add pictures for everyone to see!

*QOTD 9/9/13* - Long Island Weddings

I haven't done any related to the wedding as of yet. We did a bunch for our engagement parties... mainly for decorations. FH also designed our save the dates!

As for the wedding, I would like to make our wedding programs, design our menu card, think of something creative to do for place cards and make flagged toothpicks that say 'happily ever after'. Not sure what else I might have in store, but I'm pretty crafty, so I'm not opposed to creating things! Looking forward to seeing everyone's responses :)

I have not started yet but... later this month I am trying my hands at assisting in the baking of my own cupcakes and chocolate molds. And I want to do my own centerpieces.. Everytime I get an idea for a centerpiece I see a pretty idea that I may want to try so I am not locked in on a specific centerpuece yet..

But I too made a list of whats left recently and I was biting my nails with what was left!!

Good question! I haven't done any DIY projects yet.. but I'll be keeping my eye on this thread for ideas!

I had my graphic designer at work design my save the dates so he will probably do my programs and menu cards as well. but that's not really DIY, all I have to do is hit print lol. I would love to make some of cute things I've seen but I know in the end I will be stressed about finishing them so I am not DIY'ing anything.

I designed and am assembling our save the dates. I am also going to attempt most paper goods like seating cards, programs, menus, a timeline for our of town guests for the welcome bags. I have also already bought stuff for the bathroom baskets.

I designed our engagement party invites, centerpieces and favors (cake pops, they only took me 3 days lol). For our wedding, I've already done cry packs and an Instagram sign. I also plan to make program fans, menu cards and possibly try my hand at something a little larger (not sure if its possible yet so I'm gonna keep it on the low .

I'm doing my invitations, brooch bouquet, table numbers, cardbox, and I was looking at a tutorial for handpainted signs so I'm probably gonna do a few of those instead of spending all my money on etsy.
I've done a sample of my invitation and started my bouquet but I need more brooches.

UGh I have SO much to do. I keep thinking if I don't think about it, it will somehow get done on its own!

I also started making a list this weekend and got a little overwhelmed lol. Stuff I've made so far (there are some pics in my albums)
1. Clothespin placecard holders
2. Hotel Door Hangers

3. Personalized Tumblers for Bridal Party

4. Decorated Bathroom Baskets
5. Instagram Sign
6. Sparkler send off Sign
7. Flip Flop Basket and Sign
9. Bride and Groom Signs for Chairs
10. Wedding Date Sign
11. Flowers for Garter

12. Lace napkin Rings
13. Painted lanterns for Cocktail hour tables
14. Made tags for Invites

15. Frame for Mother In Law

Stuff I'm Doing now:
1. Print Enclosures for Invites
2. Clean out mason jars and wrap in Lace

Stuff Yet to Do:
1. Program Fans (have all the Supplies but have to wait)
2. Print Menus
3. Address and Assemble Invites
4. Make OOT Bags
5. Make Card box/Bird Cage
6. Flower girl/Ring bearer accessories (not sure what I will do yet)
7. Signature Drink Sign
8. Frames for My parents
9. Labels for Favors


I feel like there's so much more I have to do but making this list has just fried my brain hahaha

Edited: Because I thought of More and to add some pics, I'm sick in the head really lol

Ah I'm not very artistic but I'm going to attempt to design our save the dates and seating cards. Seating cards I think will be easy but save the dates I'm going to struggle with because I'm so indecisive and second guess everything I do!

I haveade my table numbers. Menu template. favor template. And door hangers. Just have to print them all!
And I will be making my programs.

So far the only things I have DIY are things for my engagement party and I love how they came out!! I plan on waiting until I have off for Christmas and Feb. break to start doing other things. I did want to make a sample of my table numbers sometime soon though so I can see if I like it or not.
