With the ten year anniversary or 9/11 just behind us; my first question as BOTW is:

How Has 9/11 Changed Your Life?

Everyone knows exactly where they were that day although they might not remember where they were or what they did last Tuesday...it is a day that will forever be etched into our memories.

It taught me that life is short and truly anything is possible in this world. Nothing since then surprises me anymore, and I try to live life to the fullest everyday and do things I want to even if they're a little out of the budget at the time, because you just never know.

to all who have lost a loved one on that day

ITA with this!!!! I tell my family members that I love them everytime they walk out of the door, make sure to never go to bed angry.

I also have an 'emergency survival kit' now and i am ALWAYS much more aware of my surroundings than I was before then

I was very fortunate to not lose anyone very close to me that day (though there were a few distant relatives and friends that were lost). I pray for those who lost a loved one that day because i unfortunately know what that is like as well.

I think 9/11 has made me more paranoid in general. I get sick whenever FH has to fly someplace until he lands, which I know isn't normal, but I do. And like others, I'm sure, we make sure we say I love you to each other every time we speak on the phone.

I took 9/11 really hard. I lost a friend that day, who I will admit was not a very close friend, but someone we all loved and admired and looked up to. As a result, I get super emotional, whenever I see images of the attacks. I think also because I was in Brooklyn, near Manhattan and saw the whole thing live and in real time from a classroom window. Maybe it makes me a coward but I just can't watch any of the coverage or certain images at least, or I start getting panic attacks. I've gotten better but it still hurts.

I don't know if this answers the question. I definitely agree with the PPs too.
