Hey everyone...hopefully you all have a better Saturday than me...working the 7a-7p in the ER.
So the QOTD: For those with children, what will their role in the wedding be? For those without children...when do you plan on starting your family?

id be perfectly happy walking down the aisle pregnant LOL but FH would like to wait atleast a year or two after we get married, said he wants to do lots of traveling since we barely did any in our 10 years together...

Due to FH's recent job loss, he's decided to go back to school. I think we'll wait until he is done.. another 2 years after the wedding. I'll be 24 when we get married, so I don't mind waiting a 2 or 3 years to start our family.

FH wants kids right away but I want to wait. After we get married I'll still have a year of grad school left. I'd like to wait 3 years or so

I'm planning on going off the pill right after our honeymoon (which is 2 months after the wedding) and you are supposed to wait about 3 months before trying, so that's the plan! lol

You forgot one category! Those of us who don't have children and don't plan on having any. We decided that, although we love our nieces and nephews, kids weren't really for us. Plus we are a bit older and pretty set with our lifestyles. We have a huge family and get lots of kid time.

I have a son (8 years old) already: he is our ring bearer and will be doing part of the sand ceremony with us. We also have one on the way, he will only be 6 months old at the time of the wedding, so he will just be there. Ideally, I would like one more, FH is not so sure; ideally we need to purchase a bigger house before he have any more kids, we have a 1100sq foot home now that we purchased last year and we are growing out of it fast

Our daughter will be 2 at the time of our wedding. She is going to be a flower girl and will be taking part of our sand ceremony and she will also be walking in with us when we do our entrance. We plan on having another child but we need to purchase a home first.

We will probably wait a few years. I finish grad school 3 months before the wedding and my fiance will have another year of residency left, followed by 1-2 years of fellowship, so probably after then when we settle down and buy a home.

We'll probably start trying 6 months to a year after the wedding. We both want them right away but we need to make sure that were financially stable, the house is ready for kids and get some last minute traveling in!

I need to finish my masters before we have kids so at least a year and half after the wedding before we even start trying. FH wants kids soon after that but he also refuses to have kids till we are out of an apartment and into a house.

If it were up to FH I'd be prego right now lol So obviously he wants to srart right after the wedding but I want to wait about a yr. I want to travel some more and save more $$ 1st.

Don't have children...hopefully not for at least 3 years...need to get financially stable first...

We haven't decided on a time, but we both are not ready for kids right now. I'd say 3-5 years.

we'll be 28 and 29 when we are married. we know we are not ready now and want to wait a few years. i would guess about 3-5 years after we are married

We don't have any children & want to start a family soon after the wedding. We will hopefully look into buying a house after the wedding and try for a baby.
I am so ready for kids! I'm done with school & work with kids every day so i really want my own! FH will be 34 and I will be 30 when we get married. i don't wanna wait too long as i want to enjoy my kids growing up!
