QOTD | 9.23.13 - Long Island Weddings

I try to work out at least 3-4 times a week. I have a personal trainer but I have been so busy the past few weeks I haven't been able to go. I have a Bowflex, free weights and a tredmill in my basement so I just use those. I also started taking Garcinia Cambogia pills twice a day. I called my doctor and asked him about them and he said they're fine because they're 100% natural. They've been working so far - not the 3.5 lbs a week they claim but it has definitely been making a difference.

I also just watch what I eat. I have a notebook with me to write down what I eat each day and I try to stay under a certain amount of calories. I allow myself one glass of red wine twice during the week since I love to have wine with dinner and I give myself one day (usually Satruday) where I can eat/drink whatever I want in moderation.

I'm also 'shedding for the wedding' - or at least attempting to! I've become way to complacent with my weight which needs to stop. I'm about 50-60 pounds heavier than my 'ideal' weight for my height. It is SO hard to lose. I have a definite sweet tooth and I'm always hungry.

I've also been taking hair/skin/nail vitamins in an effort to grow my hair for the wedding. I think it's helping a little, but I wish it would help more!

I've been slacking but I'm really trying to stick to my Weight Watchers plan and working out to Insanity. It's super hard to stay on track, and sometimes I want to murder Shawn T, but I'm slowly seeing results. I want to lose another 5 pounds and then I'll be back at goal.

Oh my goodness, this just reminded me! One of my inspirations for the gym is my 'sweating for the wedding!' tank from etsy! It's super cute, it's extra motivation, and I always get compliments on it!

I have really changed the way I eat. I never have fried food, pizza or bagels anymore- which is so difficult because those are the things I love to eat the most lol. I barley drink alcohol anymore expect for the occasional beer or glass of wine FH and I will have together. I have been trying to drink soo much water throughout the day also.

I really need to start going to the gym again. I hate it so much but I need to go. So far without going to the gym I'm down 12 pounds. I would like to get to my goal weight which is another 13 pounds...obviously if more decided to leave me I wouldn't miss them at all lol

Edited: because I can't spell to save my life lately!

I am trying to drop 10 lbs and get back to my ideal weight. I'm also back at the gym & trying to go 3-4 days a week, which is VERY hard for me because I HATE all exercise. I also stopped letting the nail lady wax my eye brows and I have been going to the eropean wax center every 3 weeks & they are perfect now! I never touch them any more. I also have not drastically cut my hair in almost two years so the length is great. I am trying to keep up with regular trims as well.

Big things: exercising/staying fit/eating clean and starting a big at home beauty regime :)

Small things: growing out my hair as healthy as possible and working on my natural color. also working on my wardrobe collection!

I've also been getting laser hair removal treatments done - no more Brazilian waxes - woohoo!! Would love to do my legs too but it doesn't work on blonde hair, unfortunately.

I've been thinking about doing this! I'm also a monthly Brazilian waxer, and would love to never have to go again! How far into the laser treatments are you? Is it painful? Does it work?? I'm so curious!

I bought a package of 6 sessions and have gone to 2 so far... it's already amazing! There is SUCH a difference. I will probably only need to go back one or two more times, at most. It hurts less than Brazilians and is a ton quicker.

I go to deify laser in NYC. They are always offering fantastic deals on groupon and they have excellent ratings on Yelp (my go-to!). I 100% recommend it.

Spin class 3x/week (already my goal weight, just want to tone more), gonna get an airbrush tan, eyebrow threading, and teeth whitening with the crest whitestrips.

I'm also letting my hair grow out longer (already pretty long) and then a month before I'm going to get long layers put in so that the curls last longer and don't fall out.

Well the biggest thing money wise is I got laser surgery. Many sessions of it! I had a popped blood vessel on my nose and i always covered it up but I was always bothered by it
And I don't want to even have to worry about
It on my wedding day. And one more session and I will have completely disappeared!

The little things I have or will be doing is moisturizer. Sunscreen. I am a sun worshiper. And whitening
My teeryh

You're welcome, twinnie!

I am also not touching my brows too often for the next year! Mine are two different shapes after years of plucking and waxing (plus just naturally being uneven), so I am only getting them done about once every six weeks.

I am definitely back on the gym grind, as much as I freaking hate it. I need to lose some weight so I feel my absolute best. I have this lofty goal of 30 lbs, but I would be happy with 15-20.

Ugh, I hate the gym, too! I'm a certified couch potato! But I love to eat too much to not work out

if only eating were a sport ....

I'm running Disney's Princess Enchanted 10K in February...if that's not big I don't know what is!

YOU ARE MY HERO!!!! This is SO amazing. If there was ever a shot of me running a marathon, this would be it. I wanna hear all about it in February!

Haha you got it! I wasn't sure I wanted to but as soon as I heard 'Disney World' I was sold!

I've been eating way healthier lately, and I try to work out as much as possible. I think I'm going to start doing the insanity DVDs again, as much as I love/hate them lol

Thanks, I will definitely look into that!

@flynn14 - I have to whiten my teeth as well. The problem for me is that I have a crown on one of my front teeth so I can't use regular whitening strips etc. because they won't work on a crown. I will probably have to go to the dentist, have him whiten my teeth and then replace the crown. UGH lol
