I am surprising FH with a cigar roller for the last 2 hours of our reception. When FH is with the guys, especially golfing, they love smoking cigars and BS'ing. He's going to be so excited when he see's this. otherwise it's just having songs that mean alot to us playing.
FH is Colombian, like, came here from Colombia when he was 16. Our daughter is 1st generation in his family born in America. So, we want to incorporate that into the wedding. We're having a bilingual MC so that important aspects of the night can be translated. We selected a good amount of salsa, cumbia, reggeton music for the night. Our favors are going to be little bags of colombian coffee beans with little bottles of coffee liqueur. Everything else about the day will be un-traditional. My dad passed away 6 years ago, so it'll NEVER be the wedding of my dreams. But it will be an awesome day.

There will be some Disney touches because we are huge huge fans. So needless to say what a fantastic idea you have using that song! Sleeping Beauty is my favorite movie. Our ice sculpture during cocktail hour will be Sleeping Beauty's castle.
At one point I thought about having pink and blue lights swirling around during our first dance as a nod to Sleeping Beauty but I can only imagine what they'll charge for that!
Another thing we are incorporating is coming out to a WWE star's theme song because FH is a lifelong fan. This includes championship belts and all. Why not I figured. It's the one chance in life he'll get to do something like that!

We're going to incorporate our song somewhere in the wedding. Eithe usng the instrumental version of it that I found on iTunes (by Vitamin Stilring Quartet) or use the actual full song for our first dance.
I'm also thinking about getting him a fun grooms cake as a surprise. My mom's friend does really creative cakes so I think I can get a good deal lol! I'm thinking either duck dynasty or diablo III themed or maybe even something with our dog who we're obsessed with.
I'm also considering having someone bring the dog out so that FH and I can take some wedding photos with him. It would only be for a half hour or so, but I can't imagine having no wedding photos with the fuzziest member of our little family. Plus he's so photogenic

FH and I are both obsessed with art so we're surprising our guests with a caricature artist during the cocktail hour. Figure this will be a little something people can take home to remember the night.
Also, since we live in the city, we're having a pretzel cart at the end of the night to pay homage to that aspect of our lives.
Love the pretzel cart idea! Are you getting it through your venue or hiring an outside vendor?
