QOTD 9/25

Good Morning ladies

I know some of us ladies are very modernized but…What are some of the traditions that you are keeping for your ceremony?

I am keeping the veil tradition; it is something very important for my parents. So I will be having the veil cover my face so that when my dad walks me down and we finally hit the altar he can have the pride of lifting my veil. (most def a tear will com out lol)

i am also keeping the veil...only my dad is walking me down the aisle.

i think that might be it lol. we wanna tweak our vows so those arent going to be so traditional.

Thought FH was modern until we started planning the wedding. He's all about tradition. I wasn't, but I see where he is coming from. He feels by keeping to tradition he's doing it right this time. Doing the veil with blusher, dad is walking me down the aisle, walking down the aisle to here comes the bride, wearing the old, new, borrowed, blue, i'm sure there are other things as well.

Definitely the veil, dad walking me down, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, all that good stuff.

I'm having a veil...to make Mom happy...since she is paying for dress : ) We also wont see each other prior to the wedding. I had considered taking pics before...but I want that special moment when we see each other for the first time at the church.

Why am I always the odd ball. I am thinking of the short veil to the side of my face, but who knows I might change my mind again. I am having two dresses Not not into the big dresses. I am walking 1/2 and my FH is meeting me and we will walk the rest together. I lost my dad at the age of three, so I'm not doing the father-daughter dance. MY FMIL and FH both agree on their own not to do the mother-son dance. So I will do dedication songs. Both my mom and FMIL would rather sit and talk then dance. So it will be party for us. We want an after party because the wedding is in the afternoon.

Everything will be fairly tradional. I am wearing the veil, dad walking me down the aisle....
I originally didn't want a veil but when I tried it on with my dress it just made the whole look complete.

I plan on doing the something borrowed-blue, new. The mother/son dance, garter/bo-k toss. As of now not sure if i will i have a veil-depends on my dress

The only thing we may do non traditional is possibly see eachother before the ceremony.

I'm not sure what kind of time at the moment we will have for pictures during CH. Especially since if we book CLM we do our yacht arrival then.

FH doesn't think he should see me until I am walking down that aisle.

doing the veil thing... my uncle is walking me down the aisle since hes been like a father to me... im doing the speach's from the MOH & Best Man... gater thing n bqt toss we are not seeing each other till i walk down the aisle!!

i am not too sure yet, but i am sure i will do the something borrowed new and blue.

we werent going to see each other before the ceremony, but i think now we are going to, so we can take pictures

We are doing traditional vows, dad walking down the aisle and not seeing eachother before. I want a mantilla veil so the veil thing won't work

Odd ball again...We are seeing each other before the ceremony because we don't want to miss the CH also no bridal party just a FG.

Not spending the night together the day before (that'll be a first in a long time!)...dad walking me down the aisle...probably traditional vows, i'm happy i'm doing the catholic ceremony in my church, and probably more stuff too. I tend to be more traditional.
