Hi Ladies! im so excited to be BOTW! Thank you to Oct13bride for giving me the title!
Okay so question:
Is there anything sentimental you are incorporating into your wedding that has been passed down or given to you? What is it? how will it be incorporated and what does it mean to you?
Last week my grandmother hands me a little silk pouch with a blue ribbon. My grandmother made these pouches for each one of her granddaughters out of her own wedding dress! Inside each one she put a little angel. I will be using this as my something blue and putting it inside my bouquet. My grandmother is so creative and has a huge heart, i love the fact it is made from her wedding dress. Us grandchildren are her world and I really am honored to have such a special piece of her walk down the aisle with me on my wedding day.

That is adorable and so sweet of her! The only thing getting passed on to me is love. I think I will do something to start my own family tradition to pass on to my kids.

CONGRATS ON BOTW!!
my grandmothers (dad's mom) charm she wore pinned to my bra - she passed away when I was 9 and think about her all the time and how it would feel to have her here during this joyful time.
Also a woman I am very close to embroidered a white handkerchief with our monogram and wedding date in Navy Blue for my something blue.

My mom decided to take her engagement ring diamond out and put it in a necklace for me for the wedding day. It means a lot to me because my dad passed away, so it's kind of like having him there with me on that day

My grandmother's wedding dress was mostly ruined by a fire at my aunt's house almost a decade ago. She saved enough of the dress, though, for each of the granddaughters to have a handkerchief. I am making mine in to a bouquet wrap.
This is really special to me since my grandmother died when I was very young, it will be nice to have a part of her at my wedding. I am working with my mom to incorporate something from my other grandmother who also died when I was very young.

Something passed down or given to me - no i can't think of anything yet.
I am having hydrangea's in my centerpieces which has sentimental value to me. My late grandma always had tons of hydrangea bushes in the backyard and always had cut hydrangeas on the table when I went over her house. I knew this was what I wanted to incorporate into my wedding so when I look around the room all I will see is hydrangeas and know she's with me even more. (And my grandpa who will be at the wedding I know will especially love this and think of her).

The year I got engaged (over 2 years ago!) my aunt had gone to Ireland. Well when she was there she purchased this tiny pin, called the wedding angel. She held onto this thing for 2 years so she could give it to me on the wedding day, but recently gave it to me b/c she's moving and doesn't want to lose it. It's so cute and I can't wait to wear it inside my dress that day!

There are a few things I am thinking of doing in honor of my grandmother 0:o) I have her blue topaz ring that I was thinking of wearing as my something blue. I also have my great-grandmothers pearls that my grandmother passed on to me. I would love to wear them as part of my DOJ, but I have to find my dress first.
Good question and congrats again on being BOTW

That is so sweet of your grandmother!!
Well my engagement ring is my grandmothers engagement ring, and the center diamond is my great great grandmothers, so that will be my something old. in addition, my FH's father passed away a few years ago, so we plan to honor him, at the reception. Aside from the grooms dance with his mother, he will dance with his mom to his parents wedding song.
I also plan on honoring our close relatives who passed away during our mass with a special prayer.

Great question! I am wearing a bracelet that was my great grandmother's. It's something borrowed, something old and something blue too!

My engagement ring was FH's grandmother's. The diamond was purchased as a 'sorry you didn't have a girl' gift from his great grandfather to his great grandmother when his grandfather was born. When his grandfather was ready to propose to his grandmother, the diamond was put into an exact replica of her mother's engagement ring (which was set in platinum and onyx...mine is set in rose gold and sapphires). His grandmother wore the ring until her death, and it was held onto for many years and given to FH to give to me. A whole lot of history in my ring, and I adore it. It's over 100 years old!

A six-pence for my shoe. My mother had it on her wedding day and my grandmother did as well. It's becoming a tradition. It's actually the last part of the 'something borrowed, something blue...' saying...I didn't realize that until my mother mentioned it. It's something I can pass down as well.

My grandmother gave me her crystal rosary beads when I was younger so I plan to have them wrapped around my bouquet. I also have a ring that was hers that has blue stones in it, not sure if I am wearing it bc it's huge, maybe for the rehearsal dinner. And mom is going to lend me my grandmother and great grandmother's wedding day handkerchief. Also, my center stone is my grandmothers.

FH is Irish & I had mentioned to my mom that I wanted to honor some of his family history at the wedding. An old Irish tradition is for the bride to carry a horseshoe the day of the wedding for luck so I was thinking of getting a small charm to put on my bouquet. My mom offered to let me have a horseshoe charm that my grandmother gave her many years ago that way I would have something from my grandmom that day Also, my mom has a photo charm made of my brother who passed away that I want to place on my bouquet.
