Good Morning Ladies! Hope everyones trying to stay nice and dry during all of this terrible rain. I need the sunshine in my life.
Anyway, I ran into the couple that did our Precana the other day, and thought of a question they asked us, it really made FH and I think about what is really important in all of this.....
If you had to give up one of the following which would it be and why: Your Ring, Your Honeymoon or The Wedding
I changed my answer three times, and then decieded that I didnt want to give up any of them, they all mean something too me...I guess thats cheating,even now, months later I'm not sure what to give up. I guess the honeymoon would go and I would just plan another one- but with all the wedding planning, well we deserve it haha

I'd definitely say out of those three....the honeymoon. I still want to be a wife even if i dont get to relax after its all said and done hahahaha

Def the honeymoon........ the other 2 are just way too symbolic to give up.. the honeymoon is something that would always be there. you could take it 20 years after you get married and still call it a honeymoon.

I'd give up the honeymoon, I suppose. My ring is so sentimental to me (and I'm obsessed with it ) and I really want the wedding.

I agree with the honeymoon
my ring was so important to me because Joey designed it himself-- he took out time to make something special for me i'd never let it go.
The wedding is important to me also because it truly signifies the becoming of one.... and our families coming together.

wow. i went through all 3 in my head and then i realzied that the first two just mean too much. although, if someone was trying to mug me, i would give up my ring reluctantly because it can always be replaced. i would have to say the HM would be the first to go

Um, well, my ring didn't cost Fh more than $500...he was given my great grandmothers ring, and we all know the money is in the main diamond, so he only had to pay to have it reset.
We never really travel much because of our jobs, so we couldn't cut the honeymoon.
But, with all the drama, the headaches, the arguing, this might sound so idiotic of me, but I would say the wedding. I say this now because I am 51 days away and I am stressing majorly.
But when we talked about getting engaged, I told FH I can wait for a ring...my mom didn't get hers until right before they were married.

Id give up the honeymoon... The ring is SOOOO symbolic adn special and you only get one wedding! Id rather be a wife with no honeymoon.. vacations can always be replanned.

Hmm....at first i said the honeymoon. Then i changed to the wedding...
since we're so stressed about the budget; at this point we're like just forget the wedding and lets just have a small ceremony and AMAZING honeymoon just the two of us.
SO...if my wedding budget wasn't a factor I'd say give up the honeymoon (since it would be 1/4 of my wedding costs).
BUT with the wedding stress we have now; i saw give up the WEDDING and have an AMAZING HONEYMOON!! And save the rest of that $$

Honeymoon - we can go on a vacation ANYTIME... In fact, the month before the wedding, my grandfather is taking the whole family on a week long cruise. The Wedding is the most important part, and I LOVE MY RING!!!!!

wow, this is a hard one!!!!!
the whole reason why we're having a 3 1/2 year engagement is bc we wanted to wait for a time in FH's busy school schedule where we can go on a HM since that is really impt to us....

oh definitely the ring. I haven't had mine in months due to a defect in the setting, then i ordered 2 different settings and still dont have it back.
I know its symbolic but id rather celebrate w my family and friends and go away on my honeymoon. I dream about it every day!

Definetly the honeymoon.. We may not even be taking a honeymoon after our wedding, so this is the easiest to give up.
My ring means so much to me because FH worked so hard to get me the ring I really wanted.
And the wedding is like sooooo important because it's the start to our future together as husband and wife and we get to celebrate our special day with our family and friends and I could never trade that for anything!
