What was it about your RH that made you choose it?
For me it was the view of the water and just the whole place being inside a gorgeous park that blew me away, and then the inside of it made me fall in love even more.

FH loved the whole look of the place and that it was a one event at a time place. We had been to a wedding at our RH last year and we were so impressed with the food and the look of the hall it was one of the first appointments I made when we got engaged

I had never been to a wedding at my RH, but it came recommended by a co-worker of mine. We loved that it was a beautiful, sophisticated place that did 1 affair at a time. And it wasn't pretentious. We also liked the layout of the rooms and the grounds. Lots of great picture spots there too!

The price per plate was a huge factor, location (Queens/Nassau border), beautiful indoor ceremony room, willing to do a 50 person minimum, and beautiful reception room. You have no idea how hard it was to find a place with a beautiful smaller room.

Price, location, and just the warm cozy feel of the place. I wanted something that wasn't too much like a reception hall with all the mirrors and over the top decorations and we found exactly that.

The price is what brought us there to start with. But then we loved the menu, the people, the private beach for taking pictures, and the option for a Vienesse hour!

Re: QOTD 9/3/08
It was the first place that when I drove up I got butterflies! It also has everything we want - guest accomodations, a place to hang out after the party, beautiful grounds to have outdoor ceremony and to take pics. CH is indoor & outdoor and even though East Wind can have more then one wedding going on in the Country Gardens I feel like we won't notice because it's completely separate.

When I walked in, I knew it was the place because it was exactly what I envisioned for my wedding. It is the simple, elegant, country club chic setting that is not over the top.
We looked at a few more places after that, but everytime I envisioned my wedding it was at the OFC!

FH always passed by this hall when we just started dating, and we always said that that's where we would have our reception. Sure enough, that's the place...and we fell in love when we went inside YAY

i loved that every spot is picturesque...hopefully the weather is nice but if not...there are so many picture opportunities inside. i also like how simple it is to get there from BK.

The fact that we could have the entire place to ourselves and the ceremony room and reception room were so gorgeous with all the windows and light coming through.

I've been to several events there, my high school used it for their senior banquets and language honor society mardi gras. Last year, we actually went to a wedding there, and you just can't beat the food. Food quality was extremely important to us, and Villa's DEFINITELY has the food. Plus it's beautiful, and has just enough glitz and glamour to make it special without being tooooooo overdone. It's also gorgeous in the Christmas season, when we're going to be getting married

I picked mine because I cared about the food, one wedding at a time and the ambiance. My RH and has all 3 which were very important to me!

I love the high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that look out over the water at the Chateau La Mer.
