QOTD?: Does anyone feel funny...?

Posting about vendors booked, etc. when we know that other vendors are reading our posts?

I'm starting to feel like maybe I should just say 'I booked something' and leave you all guessing as to what type of vendor and WHAT vendor it was.

Is it something we just have to deal with - I know it's a public board...but why do some vendors tell you that they saw what you wrote?

I feel weird. I don't like getting FM's from vendors who've read what I wrote. If I wanted vendor info I would've posted on the vendor board.

Maybe they're just bored at work too....

I agree 100%! This is a 'brides' board. They have no business on these boards, and if they do lurk, they should keep it to themselves!

I don't feel funny at all with posting about vendors...If a vendor is going to read what I wrote, that is just fine with me...There are reasons why we all pick the vendors that we do...We all meet with TONS of vendors & we have every right to post good or bad...We are all here to help one another out!!! That is the purpose for the boards...if there is a vendor that does not like the fact that we didn't book them, then that is there problem & maybe they should realize that there are REASONS why we didn't!

I dont seem to care...it dosent bother me if you guys ask or FM for any details. I believe that is what this site is for..to share our experiences and help each other out.

The only thing which I just had happen was...I posted about a DJ and I got fm from others..offering their services.
Whatever...as long as its not phone calls!

sometimes i feel wierd about posting names and such especially when you have met other vendors that you like better.

now if i only had time to meet other vendors I sure i would feel more uncomfortable about it.

obviously i need to take a day off to visit vendors....

sometimes posting their name helps - if they know you are posting some will do even more to make you happy because they want you to advertise

but i don't think it is right for vendors to FM based on post on the BHB board - i have gotten a few

I completely agree with this. I think we should be able to post openly and honestly about our experiences. This is a board for us to help us. If a vendor doesn't like a review they get, then maybe they need to change the way they conduct business. I don't mind posting at all my good and bad experiences. I want to be able to help out as many brides as I can.

At first I didn't b/c I did not even think about it. But after to prospective vendors gave me pricing they BOTH said 'Don't share this while you chatting with the girls on those websites'

I was shocked.

Now, if I have something to say about any vendor that I have or have not booked that involves pricing, I FM it....it's private!

YEAH!!

Getting an FM doesn't bother me BUT constant phone calls do...they get my name from Bridal SHows and do not STOP SO if you are reading this..do not call at dinner time or at anytime

Im proud of the vendors I choose, and dont feel funny talking about them... i do however think it is not right for vendors to FM us without us asking them too...
