DH always puts the seat back down

Though I will say this much (and I'm sure I will get the other ladies angry with me...) I never understood why ladies got so worked up over this!

Because if you're not expecting it to be up and you sit down without thinking, you'll fall in like MICHI did!!! If it's ever happened to you, you'd get worked up too!

DH puts it down almost all the time, his mother taught him well but, then again, she pees in the woods....(see post on Newlyweds if curious, but I'll tell you now, it's not worth it )

Recently, DH tried to rebel and pulled the why can't you leave the seat up thing with me. I used Kriss2c's argument on him!!! Shut him right up!!!

someone once told me..y cant the seat stay up and the girl always puts it down,,,who says its correct with it always being down...food for thought...lol

I've seen shows that say that when you flush the toilet microscopic particles of 'waste' are sprayed in the air! And they fly far! That's why my toothbrushes are not out on the counter and the cover to the toilet is always put down before DH or I flush! He never leaves the seat up, never did.

I heard this also..BUT We watch MythBusters ( a show where they test urban legends and such) and the busted that theory...the same amount of particles got on the toothbrush that was on the toilet back, the counter, and in another room!!!

DH always leaves it up and when I go in to the bathroom I slam it down, making him jump. I figure it'll sink in soon enough!

I leave it up. I don't believe that it should 'always' be down. If I can look at the seat before it sit on it and determine I have to put the seat down without falling into the toilet bowl... then FW can do the same.


Besides... I don't always leave the seat up. You know when I leave the seat down? After I finish a number two.
