First 27 Dresses was a great movie! Me and my bm's saw it. I have been a bridesmaid and it was a really nice dress and not to expensive. So that's def what i'm goin for but I keep telling my girls they are getting puffy shoulders!

Re: QOTD February 7th
I've been a bridesmaid once in my cousin's wedding. The bride picked it out and it was pretty but something I wouldn't be able to wear again. When it comes time to picking out my bridesmaid dresses I would hope they'd get another use out of them.

Re: QOTD February 7th
Ive only been an actual BM once, but I always feel that I am involved with helpng plan my friends weddings. I cant even tell you how many times Ihave seen horrible dresses for them, and to nkow they spent sooo much money.
I never spend over $150 on any article of clothing, let alone something I know I am going to wear once.. so I have a hard time asking a girl to spend lot of money for that same reason. That being said there needs to be a price drop in these stupid dresses because it always seems to be nothng more than a hastle for everyone

Re: QOTD February 7th
ive been a bm before and it really doesnt affect my choice in dresses for my bm. the reality is, no one ever really wears their bm dresses again. its unfortunate, but the truth. unless people have a lot of huge, extragent affairs to attend to, the dresses usually dont get worn again. and if they do have an affair to attend, they just buy another dress anyways. just my opinion

Re: QOTD February 7th
I haven't been a BM yet - I'm the first of my friends to get married and I don't have any siblings. I'd like to think that I can let the BM's be as hands-on as possible when choosing the dresses. I really would love if they had dresses that weren't so far out there that they couldn't wear them again. On the same token, I don't know that there are many BM dresses that one can actually *wear again* - even tea length ones in certain colors just won't work for anything!

I was a bridesmaid in my friend from college's wedding. I loved the dress I had. No it didn't affect my choices I have always wanted my 2 cousins in my wedding and thats it.

I haven't been.. all my friends are single or with someone, but not anywhere near getting engaged. My standards are: it has to be comfy, it has to be flattering, and it has to be inexpensive.

Re: QOTD February 7th
I was a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding and the dress was so pretty and really looked nice on everyone. I am most concerned about comfort and if it looks good on each of my BM's.
I also want them to feel like they are getting a good deal on a dress and now spending a lot of money.

Re: QOTD February 7th
I have been a bridesmaid and it has definitely affected my choice of dresses. The first wedding we got BM dresses at Davids and the bride told us to pick something that looked good on us that we could afford. She only picked the color. I thought that was awesome. The one I am in this summer chose a dress that is way too expensive in my opinion ($310 BEFORE alterations) and I will never ever wear it again because it is not flattering. It really got me pi$$sed off so I am definitely going to take the approach of picking a color and an affordable designer and letting the girls pick.

Re: QOTD February 7th
I have only been a bridesmaid once. The dress was alright. I am picking out dresses and asking my sisters approval since she is sooo picky and such a tom boy, not a dress person!!! So I am hoping, we have a greed on some, that we both like something together and including my other BMs. The one thing she changed soo far was tea length to full length, lol.

Re: QOTD February 7th
i've only been a bridesmaid once, but i've always known what i wanted for my girls.
i originally wanted to just tell them a color and a length and let them go to macy's or wherever they buy dresses.... i hate how bridal store dresses are more expensive and you almost always need to get them fitted. i wanted them to feel comfortable in them.
the problem is that i want navy blue and i'm not sure that they'll get the same color. and i'm not sure that i would even be doing them a favor... what i'm thinking now is to find a designer that i like and just tell them to get tea length and the color. we'll see

I've been a MOH once and I felt that it has affected my choice in BM dresses. My sister's BM dress was beautiful and it looked good on all body shapes. I really wanted to find a dress similar to hers so that everyone looks and feels good in it.

Re: QOTD February 7th
i've been a bridesmaid 7 times and i can honestly say that I only liked one dress so I'm trying to choose a stylish dress for my girls, but there will always be someone who doesnt like what you choose cause people do have different taste than you.
