I'd say it depends, like right now we are really trying to save for the wedding so I would say don't waste the money, but other times it is a really nice touch and makes you feel special to get flowers at work

Option #1 - so overpriced, and I am the type that gets completely embarassed having anything delivered at work - no one's business, and I definitely don't want to lug that ish home on the train or bus!

Never liked receiving flowers at any time of the year. If he wants to spend it on me, he can take me out; I'd rather spend time with him then get flowers from him.

I told him to save his money. I actually told him if he wants to get them for me, I'd rather get them just because on any other day of the year, not just because it's Valentine's Day.

I guess I was thinking it was a waste but FH TOTALLY surprised me with flowers at work today and it made me really happy.

I agree it is a waste of money. However I just got a hugh delivery of white and purples roses from him and it was really nice. The card was the best part of all and I guess since it is our last 'dating' valentines day, he wanted it to be super nice. As much as I think they are over priced, I am much happier with this than I would have been with chocolate. I want to fit in my dress !

flowers are nice to receive but I don't think it is anyone's business what I get...Plus I think all the companies our there jack up their prices to support 'V-Day' FH shows me he loves me everyday, don't need a holiday to change that!

I didn't have flowers delivered, but I would love to get flowers. I don't think they are a waste of money at all. I really love sending people flowers (usually for illness) and it really brightens their day. Whatever the occasion, it just makes the person feel special.

I think its a waste, they charge ridiculous amounts for valentines day.
That being said... I probably wouldn't complain if I got them

I love getting flowers but I told FI I'd kill him if he got them for me this VDay. They're so expensive and I'd rather him use the money and buy us new phones. Wow, when did I get so practical.

Overpriced - I told FH not to buy them for me, they just die anyway. If he feels the need to buy me flowers, I told him to get me a nice potted orchid or something! At least they last (assuming I remember to water them!)

I got them delivered at work. They were here before I arrived (I was mailing our invitations!). When I walked into my office everyone was looking at me smiling. It's a nice feeling. Yes, I know they are WAY overpriced and all that jazz and I tell him every year no flowers but then I get them. And then I read the card and for the moment I forget about the commercialism, and the Valentine's Day hype and think about him just being head over heels about me.

I would prefer to get flowers at home, and enjoy them there, then to have them delivered at work.
