It's SPRING and we've been spoiled with great weather this week.
It also seems to be the favorite season of a lot of people and has been the most popular time for weddings for a long time. Now that seems to be shifting into late summer and fall.
Why did you pick the date you picked for when to get married? Was it your first choice? Are you completely happy with it?
We are October 30th... but I wanted summer. I wanted a backyard wedding with a tent and cute summer party dresses and lemonade. Grr. But FH took too long to propose and I just didn't think I could put together nor could we save enough money to have a wedding in 7-8 months. And I didn't want to wait around until the following summer. So we went the route of taking my second favorite time, fall... and I picked October 30th because we both love Halloween. We picked the 30th over actual Halloween because I didn't want to interfere with the actual holiday...we have a lot of kids in our lives so... it would've affected a lot of people. Otherwise I totally would've gone the Sunday wedding route.

We originally wanted 10/10/10 but then FMIL had to b*tch and moan about a Sunday wedding and when we found the Woodlands they wanted something ridiculous like $30-40 more pp just for that date so we went the week before and picked the Saturday over the Sunday. Once we couldn't do 10/10/10 I should have just picked a date in July...

we chose May cause we both love spring and it probably wont be too hot or too cold. we didn't have a specific date in mind, so we chose whatever was available at our RH.

I wanted Feb-Apr b/c I knew it would be cheaper than summer dates which I really wanted. FH didnt want under no circumstances winter wedding, and to be honest neither did I - we both HATE the cold. So we were looking into Apr, didnt have any specific date in mind. We booked 4/25, but then FSIL asked to move a little bit b/c the date was falling on her finals at school, so we just pushed by 3 weeks (and ended up paying more for which FMIL didnt even offer to cover the difference - ya I'm still bitter over that one) So this is how we ended up with a May wedding

FH is did not want to sweat in a tux in a summer wedding, and i didnt want winter cuz its too close to my bday and the holidays
so we looked into fall 09 or spring 10. fall 09 seemed to close. so it was between march or april to save $ (may seemed to be more $$)....
found out that lent was in march, and didnt want to get married during lent, so that left april weekends. mom told me that grandparents anniversary was the 24th. thought that was special and we were able to get that date. very happy!!

We started dating 6/12/01 so we are getting married 9 years after that

we wanted April 10th bc that will be our 7 year dating anniversary
but then we decided to do a Friday but still wanted april. Since April 9th has no significance for us we figured we'd do it later in the month when it will hopefully be a little warmer.

I originally wanted a June wedding but FH's groomsman was already getting married then, so we picked may, then when I canceled my first RH, my new RH didnt have May 22 so I decided to pick the first weekend in July they had open.

My date was my grandfather's birthday. My grandparents were married over 60 years so I hope it brings me luck.

We were looking at April/May/June. We loved Giorgio's and they only had two dates left so we picked the second weekend. The first weekend is my MOH's 30th birthday, so we did the 2nd.

I wanted 10/10/10. I LOVE fall and I wanted Oct/Nov. We ended up with July because it was alot cheaper and we could go on your HM right away (I'm a teacher so we owuldve had to wait). In the end, I'm 100% happy with the choice...I'm so glad we changed to summer!

We originally wanted to get married on our dating anniversary and when we got engaged, which was May 28th. The date in 2010 was on a Friday and we didn't want a Friday wedding, so we decided any Saturday in June (except Father's day weekend) would be fine.
