Good morning ladies!! Happy Friday!!! So last nite i was going through pics for my photo montage and saw all the dates and travels FH and i did together so it got me thinking:
What was the best vacation you ever took with Fh?
What made the Trip so memorable??
For me Fh and I went Puerto Rico, we spent the entire trip doing different excusions, we went kayaking, and to the bacardi factory where we got a little tipsy and it started to pour so they stopped the ferry back to the main land and we had to walk to find a cab to take us back in a monsoon!! oh memories!!

The most memorable when we went to Costa Rica 2 yrs ago since he proposed to me on the beach on our last night there and we had seen a beautiful unspoiled country...drove around in a rented car, ziplined thru the rain forest, and we saw the giant leatherback turtle nesting on the beach at midnight which was unforgettable!!!!
and my 2nd choice would be our very 1st vacation we took together was pretty memorable!!! I had just graduated from my undergraduate and we went to DR for 13 beautiful days. It was amazing.

omg that sounds beautiful!!! our next vacation is DR i really want to go to punta cana in march!! I heard costa rica is amazing!!

DR is amazing!!! punta cana is the quieter side...we were in puerto plata which is less quiet but all the activities are there!!!

Definitely our cruise to Alaska. What a unique trip and the only person I would ever want to share that experience with is FH. Plus we both love cold weather so it made lots of sense - also why we are spending a few days in Iceland on our honeymoon!!!

Well the best was def our HM to St. Lucia since that was the first “real” vacation we took together!
Before that my favorite was the first time we went away together – we went to the Poconos for a long weekend and had so much fun.

FH and I never took a 'real' vacation together.. So the honeymoon is going to AMAZING and totally well worth the wait.
However we did do alot of road trips. Once we went camping and I almost killed him.. I HATED it. I like clean bathrooms and beds, and hate bugs. haha. For my birthday 2 years ago we spent the weekend at a bed and breakfast in Greenport.. It was the best weekend ever. We ate, we drank, we swam, we shopped.. just spent alot of alone time together. I have to say that so far that was the best vacation.

We actually went the same time of year last year! Our cruise left on Sept. 6! DEFINITELY bring lots of water durable clothes, because it's rainy season right now. I had two water-resistant light coats. Don't bring a heavy coat because it's better to layer - so typically I would wear a long sleeved shirt, a light sweater or fleece over it, and the light coat. That way, when we went inside I could just strip down to the appropriate layer. Also, sneakers are your friend. Sneakers and boots, definitely. I also wore a lot of hats because I have very curly hair, and since it's raining all the time, my hair went sort of berserk.

omg thank you so much for the advice!! i have curly hair too!! so a hate will be my best friend lol!!
jenny- i agree i hate camping so not my thing the last time FH i tried it i slept in his truck i couldnt get into the whole sleeping on the ground and he goes its romantic ! im like yeah the locus bug sound is really soothing !! um not!!

We haven't gone to any 'fancy' places but the one trip we did take was to Wildwood NJ and it was the best 5 days ever since that was the first trip we ever taken alone and we just had a great time clowning around and just being us having drinks and smoking cigars.

I slept in the truck too
The one night at 2am there was a huge storm. Rain and flooding.. I made him pack it up and drive home.. we got home at like 6am and I never ever appreciated my shower and bed so much in my life.

The best vacation was when we went to the bahamas years ago....it was our first vacation together and it was just so fun filled!

We went to Newport and Cape Cod last year, we were newly engaged, the weather was picture perfect. It was amazing. Our kind of vacation.

I think ours was our HM and not because it was the HM. We picked Belize for our HM because we have both been dying to Scuba dive there. And we did. We dove the Blue hole. It was a once in a lifetime type of experience. 140 feet below the surface and it was liking being in another world and being in a National Geographic tv show.
That trip we got to experience things we have been dying to do so I think that was the best trip...the fact that is was our HM only made it that much better.

Last August we went on an awesome 10 day cruise and had the best time ever! We had both been working soooo hard and sooo much OT so we really needed to just veg and it was the perfect trip to do so. The best part of the trip was when FH proposed, I'll never forget it, it was so completely unexpected!!!!

We went to the bahamas with a bunch of friends and it was jsut so much fun we really enjoyed! ..But you mentioned photos for the montage and thats something i need to start! AHH thanks for the reminder

Mine would be the first time we went to Disney World, just the two of us. We are both Disney freaks and he had never been to Disney before. It was so cute seeing him get all excited and proudly wearing his first time pin. I loved that he didn't mind me running around taking pictures with the characters (that's my favorite part about Disney). He even joined in most of them.
(we've since went twice with his family and though it was fun, nothing compares to the first time )
