Re: QOTD: Friday, February 15, 2008
My brother passed away in July in a motorcycle accident. I wish he was able to be there. Since he can't we made a point to get married in the church where his funeral was held and my parents and I are going to have a memorial candle for him. Since I have two flower girls and two ring bearers I am going to have the first flower girl and ring bearer walk down with the pillow and flowers and I am going to have the other set walk down with a picture of my brother and the memorial candle. This is going to be REALLY hard on my mom and dad. I know everyone is going to be emotional.

My grandfather, who passed away in 2001. I always wish FH got to meet him, because he would have loved him! He's the one I'll miss the most. Also my Uncle who passed away last year. He was a quiet guy, but he had a big heart.
I plan to honor them at the ceremony with a short reading, followed by a single dove release. I'm also considering pictures and a candle for each of them at the reception.

My friend died about 10yrs ago in an accident, he was just a great guy....i really loved him. I really wish he was alive to be there :( I wont do anything for the wedding, no one knows him, just my family, so it would look a little weird i think.

I wish my father, uncle and grandma could be there for the wedding but, in having two choose only one I want my dad there. He'd be soo happy and excited and helpful!I am having a mailbox cardbox, since he was a mailman, a memory candle, programs with his name in memory, pictures of my parents wedding(which will be the same day) and winnie-the pooh stuff as well, all in memory for my dad.

It's not easy and some days are harder than others but I just keep on going. Keeping busy helps but not one day passes where I don't think about him. Thank you for the kind words

sad... it seems that almost everyone has someone that they would want there who has passed. i'm not sure what we'll do. i always feel like saying or writing something is difficult, so we might just do something more personal.Welcome New Vendors
