in my case he was a horrible actor..we would all get together at an office party..and he would kiss all the ladies goodbye and to me hes like um see ya..no thats not obviousl dumb a$$!!

I did .. I'm not proud of mine either. It was the craziest 'relationship' i ever had (if you can even call it a relationship ... I'm not sure it ever was)
Yes it was taboo and 'secret', even though we didn't work in the same department it was a 'no-no'.
It wasn't public knowledge because he would have been fired if it 'got out' But after awhile (mind you this went on for 3 yrs, VERY on and off) I think SOME of people knew something was going on btn us.. we didn't even hide it but noone would have EVER put us together, we were such different types of people. However, he had loose lips among his 'pals' in the office and I could tell by certain looks I would get that 'they knew'
He left the company and it continued for awhile... then blissfully ended shortly thereafter

I have not had one, but I used to work for someone that had one with a co-worker. They were both married with children and while they tried to keep it a secret, it was just so obvious!!!

I had one once and that was enough to cure me. Once it was over, it was horrible to have to see him everyday. Thank god it was only for a short time because then I changed jobs.

ETA: It was secret at first, I think it was 6 months or so before we were totally public.

yes and it was completely taboo. he was 19 years older than me and he was living with someone...that also worked there
I know, I know, bad bad...but I was really young at the time. People knew we were 'friends' and I am sure there were rumors but none of it was ever confirmed!

I dated someone briefly when I first started working here, but it was nothing serious and we're still cool. It wasn't a secret, we're in completely different departments, but I didn't go around broadcasting it either.

When I worked at a car dealership back in 1986, I started dating the girl that worked in the service department. I worked in the prep department. We went out for 6 months, and I broke it off because she was getting really wierd....Very possessive and too much for me too handle. She was always there and she didnt let me breathe.
Everyone at work knew we were going out and that we broke up...You could not keep a secret there. She got canned a little while after we broke up....After i quit there....I found out she messed around with an older service writer who was married with kids and also one of the mechanics..... Scott

yes with a co-worker and we tried keeping it a secret but it was written on our faces
OH and there was the affair i wanted to have with an old boss.. I don't think i would have gone through with it..it was more of a crush... But he had a wife and 2 kids...sad thing is that he did end up having an affair with a woman in one of the offices and i was disgusted that he actually cheated and it ruined my fantasy

There is a lot of inter office dating at my company, and a lot of the people that date have gotten married or are going to get married in the future

I had three! one was a total secret, and the other we tried to keep it a secret, but everyone knew, and the last was my DH!!!! I worked for him and as soon as things got 'hot and heavy', I quit, I didn't want my boyfriend to be my boss!
