QOTD: How many of you knew right away when u met ur signif. other??
was it a connection straight off the bat and u just 'Knew'..u couldnt stop talking, hanging out from day one??
or was it really slow, filled with some games and did the 'forever' take sometime to grow....

When I met my hubby - I knew he was the one right away - and by no means was he at all my type. It was very wierd - I just looked at him and I knew - He had come into my office to switch lightbulbs or something - he looked at me - I looked at him - there was just a spark that flashed inside me - I had to meet him!!!! From our first date after that - it was just soooo easy, our first date all we did was talk and talk - and I am not a talker - but with him the conversation kept flowing - I think I was afraid if there was any kind of lull the date would end!! But from that day on we have been together - we were engaged 4 months after that!! And now we are sooooo happily married!

I knew the second I saw him walk into that BBQ! Of course, the way things were at the time (me dating someone else, not meeting up for a while, etc.) it took 1 year until I was able to ask him out! As soon as we started dating we were inseperable. Everyone always said that we would get married.

I can't say I knew I was going to marry him the day I met him but I knew there was something different about him as soon as I started talking to him. Can't explain it but just different...good different, of course

I can't say I knew I was going to marry him the day I met him but I knew there was something different about him as soon as I started talking to him. Can't explain it but just different...good different, of course
same here...I knew there was something different about him, but he certainly wasn't 'my type' of guy that I normally got all hot and bothered over...we were inseparable after meeting and he quickly became my best friend

Not the day I met him because it was in a bar and I was a little tipsy..but the first night he called me I knew he was different and had a feeling, then our 1st date I was SO nervous and So shy which i never ever am so i knew it was something unique.

We knew right away. We could only talk on the phone for the first 3 months before we even met. We were only 15 at the time, we didn't drive yet and we lived far away from each other. We even told each other we loved one another over the phone before we met. We would talk on the phone for 6-8 hours a day! Now, it's almost 11 years later, and we're happily married with a baby!

I definitely knew there was a connection. Actually we had almost lightning bolts when we saw each other--it was like a movie, across a crowded bar we made eye contact, he came over...and the rest is history! I didn't know then we would get married--there were a lot more factors (many of them rational, in addition to the irrational feelings ones!) that went into that.

not at all!!! we didnt really even like each other. we both bartended in the same place. I thought he was too good for himself and he thought I was stuck up... and we never even said a word to each other! Talk about judging a book by its cover!

We chatted for a few months before actually MEETING (we did that whole online dating thing ) but even THEN I was convinced that there was something VERY DIFFERENT about my feelings for him! I was so giddy everytime we'd chat or email each other... it was definitely a weird (yet wonderful) thing
By the time we actually met face to face, I was speechless .. I never before in my life felt such an instanteneous connection (and attraction) to another man that quickly. I never before believed in love in first sight, but after meeting Anthony, I was a believer. I knew he was my future, and that one day we'd be married.
The very next week we told each other 'I Love You' ... 4 months later we were living together and 3 months after that we were engaged!
Yep, I guess you could say I knew from the beginning he was the 'ONE'

we started dating at age 15 and like all teenage girls by the third month I was in 'Love' By 17-18 (my senior year) I knew we were going to get married and so did everyone else in our High School. We run into classmates now and they are like 'Oh we always knew you guys would!' I even had a past teacher of mine tell me that for young kids we had such a different relationship that could def. be seen! By college I was sure of this and we gave the relationship two years to mature and then we got engaged and waited until I graduated college.
