QOTD II (WR) - Do you believe that FI is your one true love?
This is first of a two part question inspired by a convo FI and I had the other night. So I want to see the answers for this one and then I will spring part II on you all. I DO believe that there is a fated person for each person.

Yes I do believe that we were both 'made for eachother'
Get this, FI had 1 steady girlfriend for 5 years, right before me, her name was Patty (SAME AS MINE), she had brown hair, blue eyes (SAME AS ME), was Italian and German (SAME AS ME) and have alot of similarities. I think t hat was just weird
I had a boyfriend that I was with for like 10 years on and off, met when I was 16, and on the off times I would never stay serious with anyone, always went back to the jerky ex, but when I met FI that was it, never spoke to ex again.
FI and I are like the same person, so so many similarities.

Yes, I believe we are meant to be together. When I look at the past and the decisions I made, each one took me a step closer to him. If I had made even one decision differently, it is very likely we wouldn't even have met.

I feel the same way Brooklyn! It was so weird how everything came together!
When times were tough there was always a little voice saying stick through it, this isn't over.
Now, I can't imagine life without him. Sometimes I do wonder where my path to super executive working women would have led, but I'm just as happy being comfortable and in love.
No one can make me as happy as he does!

YES!! I had the 'puppy-dog' first love relationship in high school but you can't even compare to the connection that FI and I have.
We truly met based on fate...a friend was trying so hard to introduce us and we randomly started talking anyway.

Up to the very moment we met would have changed if I would have been stuck at a traffic light, missed my train, went in another elevator...it is so weird when we think about it. We were at the right place at the right time and I think that is definitely fate!
If I didn't believe the he was the one and only for me...I honestly would not be marrying him.

I personally dont think we are 'soul mates' but I dont know if there really is such a thing. As far as my one true love, YES without a doubt, he is.
I have had many boyfriends and I always thought it was love, but after being with Nick for a month or 2, I knew the difference.

I've loved before, and I do have an x that I will always have a special place for in my heart. However, you can't possibly describe how you feel when you know the one is the one. It's a whole different ballgame, that's why I'm marrying my TRUE love.

Well ladies, as alot of you know I was previously married too a very mean man which I though was the love of my life my soul mate my everything which I honestly regret , but he gave me 2 wonderful handsome boys!!! As for my FI when we met he was a challege for me and he was told by many of his close friends that he had met his match. FI did not want to 'fall in-love' but my sweetness got the best of him and this man trully loves me, I have been in an automobile accident, had surgery, been hospitalized 2 times for being so ill at times and he has been there every single time for me and the boys. I trully believe I have been blessed he is one of a kind.

Yes I truly believe that my fiancee is my one true love...never met anyone like him..and I honestly know he thinks the same way about me. I trust him completely and he is my bestfriend. It all sounds so corny..but like when I hear horror stories from people who are divorced I never get scared that it will happen to me cause there is just something between me and my fiancee that no one can touch or mess up. I love him with all my heart

I know it's not terribly romantic, but I don't believe that there is only ONE true love out there for every one of us (i.e., there is more than one...). I am very much in love with my FH and feel SO lucky about that.
However, I look at my parents. they were very much in love (and young at 21) when they married. Had 2 kids, stayed married for 16 years. Didn't work out sadly BUT....they both remarried to WONDERFUL people, are still both very much in love with their spouses and both celebrated their 20th wedding anniversaries with my awesome step-parents this year.

I am madly in love with my FH, and I do believe we are meant to be together.
HOWEVER, I do not believe there is only one soul mate for everyone.
What about widows who find love again? I bet they believe that their first SO was 'the one' and how blessed they are to have found another ONE.
I think love is a choice. I am making a choice to love this man for the rest of my life. Had I never agreed to go out with him, and life went on, I do believe God would have placed another 'soul mate' on my path with similar qualities - or just placed FH back in my life at a different time! (see below)

Or maybe you would have met, just at another time and place....
eta: FH and I have tracked our pasts and have nearly 'met' several times - one summer we were both in the same exact place in Ocean City, he would have been 9, I was 2. Three years ago, he was very close to getting a part in a show that my X was in - we would have met then. We both went to opening nights of big movies at the same theaters - we did not meet then. Had we met, it would not have been the right time.
This is one of my favorite things to think about...our paths have come so close so many times. But we were not ready for one another until 2 years ago. I love the thought of that....

I definitely believe that he is my soulmate. Of course I have been in love before. I have been engaged once and very close to engagement two other times but ran from all those situations. I always asked myself if I could honestly see myself with the particular guy forever. Finally I can say yes - I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my FH

Another unromantic answer here, but I'm not sure I believe in soul mates or 'one true love'. I have loved very passionately twice before FI but I know there is a BIG difference this time. The only way to discribe is by the feelings and how different they are now. I know we will be together forever and I truly believe that he is the love of my life.

I think we were put here to meet eachother and fall in love and have kids and all that fun stuff. I beleive it was fate that we met and that someone up there was the driving force behind it. He is my true love. I have loved before but it's different when your with someone that you know you want to be with forever and that little voice is not saying anything different. I love him.
