Todays question....I know we list our wedding songs often.... But why did you choose that song?? Is there a story behind it-- does it have a special meaning??

I'm not going to say what the song is because we have gone through 5 songs choices already and I feel like everytime I say it out loud to someone else it winds up changing the next day LOL
But, I will say that I always had this song in mind as a possible wedding song for us. The lyrics alone explain exactly what FH and I feel toward each other every single day and every time I heard the song I instantly thought of him. Even when it comes on my iPod now, I just sort of smile to myself and I can see us dancing to it on our wedding day

I chose Keith Urban's 'Making Memories of Us' because of the lyrics. Country songs are really good at story-telling, and being from the Nashville there was no way I wasn't having a country song as my first dance. FH likes it because I like it LoL

We have Elton John's Your Song, we both love the song and saw Moulin Rouge together years ago and heard the Ewan McGregor song and decided a long time ago that it would be our song!

Our song has always been 'Where Are You Going?' by the Dave Matthews Band.
I think the lyrics speak to our relationship, especially early on. We both started this thing saying 'I might not be perfect, I might screw up sometimes, but I want to be with you and I will give you all of myself.' So the 'I am no superman' lyrics have always been meaningful.
Furthermore, FH travels a lot and since we started dating in college and he's a couple of years older than me, we spend several years in the middle of our relationship apart a lot of the time (while I was living away and he was back at home). The lyrics 'Where you are is where I belong, I do know where you go is where I want to be' have always been special to us.
We toyed around with other songs...songs that were more elegant, more classic. There's a Josh Groban song we love that we considered using. But while we were dancing to it once, we looked at each other and said 'this doesn't feel right...its not our song.' And we knew that there's nothing else we could dance to for the first time as husband and wife

we chose 'love it when you smile' by UB40 because we both love that band, and he isnt a mussy sappy song kind of guy. He actually played it for me and i started crying because the words are perfect, and its totally a song that makes people think of us.

I wish I could answer this question but we STILL don't have a wedding song lol. Our song was always Everything by Michael Buble but we think it's too fast for a first dance sooo we have no idea! Hahaha

Our wedding song is actually our song that we have had since we started dating! We were thinking of not using it bc it is a little faster than a slow typical first dance song but we just couldn't not choose it!

We were always going to have 'Shelter' by Ray LaMontagne, until we realized we only knew the words to the chorus and not any of the verses, so we looked it up, aaaaaaand it's a break-up song! LOL
We went back and forth with a few songs but they were either too fast or too slow, then I played Crazy Love by Van Morrison for him and we both looked at each other and nodded like, yup... that's the one! =D

FH and I have this system that came into play with the wedding planning. Since he wouond up choosing a lot for our wedding, i was awarded one veto (lol) that i have never used, although towards the end of last year when we were booking our last vendors, he was getting scared i would use it randomly! anywho, i LOVE 'Me & You' by Kenny Chesney. FH thinks it too slow (but i think its more because its a country song than anything else) so he would rather not use it. I will gladly use my veto to make this our song

FH used our wedding song when he proposed. The song ends with the lyrics Marry Me. At that moment, he showed me my ring. Ahh, it was a no brainer.

well FH and I have a million songs but they are not really first dance appropriate like the lyrics aren't great.
Our wedding song is You and Me by Lighthouse. When this song came out I was living in FL and he would tell me that this song reminded him of me. So it was only appropriate that this be the song. We're hoping that his cousin will sing it for us while playing the guitar

Our wedding song is Marry Me - by Train
We couldnt agree on a song - I love country and he hates it. But this song we both loved and to me just seems so romantic. I love picturing us dancing to it!

we picked savage Garden's Truly MAdly Deeply because we both wanted something different and we both love the song
