The weekend is almost here!!!! For all you teachers less than 3 weeks to summer vaca!! (but whos counting!! lol)
Question is.... How do you select your bridesmaids and ask them to be your bridesmaids?
I selected my girls from different 'walks of life'. A few from middle and high school...a few new friends and then future sister in laws whom I've grown close with.
I simply asked them by making them a card. =)

It was easy for me! I have 2 sisters and the same 4 best friends for a long time. And I am close with my FSIL so it was a no brainer for me! I just simply asked them all, individually!

And I chose my 5 girls just by asking. One is my bf since I was 5, my stepsister, my bf from high school, a really close friend in adulthood, and my FH sister...(well as of now...that may be changing. lol)

I didnt do cards, I tried to ask in person, over a lunch and one in texas over the phone
4 BMS 1- future sil 1- friend from HS 1- friend from college 1-friend at met at the place where i worked 10 yrs ago

BMs were very difficult...we wanted a small wedding party so we decided to allow our childhood best friends to pick if they wanted to be in the wedding or our son's godparents...they picked to be godparents so then we decided to share the wealth
it was hard to narro it down...we ended up with my sister, my best friend from hs and 2 friends from college

It was easy, I just wanted to have one (as a maid of honor) and the hubby wanted to have one groomsman (his best man). So I chose my sister and he chose his brother. Wouldn't have had it any other way!

I asked my MOH over lunch. We both ended up crying! After I asked her she goes 'I thought you were just going to ask me to be a bridesmaid!' We've been best friends since high school. I'm so grateful that I am going to have her standing by me when I marry my FH!
My three cousins who are my bridesmaids, I asked over the phone since they don't live around here.

I asked some in person and some over the phone since they are oot. The hardest to aske were fh's sisters b/c i did not 100 percent want them in the bp but hey... they're family.
Moh- known since 6 years old 1- Met in college 1- half sister 2- from Junior high/hs 2- his sisters

My bridesmaids are from all walks of life too! I asked them all in person<3
MOH - my sister bridesmaids:
his sister
my friends...
mo - our families have been SUPER close before we were even born
kelly, kristin, meagan, michelle - my best friends since kindergarten
heather , alison - two besties from high school
gizelle - best from college
casey and amanda - friends through fh's friends (their gfs)
idk why i just listed their names, but i consider myself SO lucky to have these girls from my life that ive either had since forever, or just a few years ago<3

I decided to make whoever I was closest with at the time my bridesmaids and I asked my Sister In Law to be my Matron of Honor because she is like a sister to me and also I didn't want to upset any of my friends. I sent them a little e-card saying, 'Will you be my bridesmaid??' and gave them each a custom t-shirt at my engagement party.

I only asked my best friend since childhood, one of my cousins, and one of FH's cousins.
I really don't have any girl friends that I am super close with, so I thought it would be better to just keep it small and not have any regrets looking back at my pictures.
I made bridesmaid dress cookies and wrote in icing, 'will you be my bridesmaid?'
My flower girl was so cute when she ate it! Icing everywhere!
