QOTD l 10/17/13

Thanks for sharing your stories yesterday! I can't believe how insane this week is - Sorry I'm running a little behind today.

What is your favorite element of your wedding so far? Is there a part that has been most fun to plan? Anything you haven't enjoyed or had to compromise on?

I'm super excited - unexpectedly- about putting together my day of look. Finding little details from my dress to shoes and makeup has been fun and i didn't think it would be. We have had to compromise on some things because of budget. We had to chop a little off of flowers, cake and transportation budgets - which in our prioritizing were the two things werent the most important things. We went over budget on photos and video which were important for us.

We are seriously looking forward to all our friends having fun and celebrating us at the reception.. So booking anything reception has been fun.. Esp DJ!!

We have not had to compromise on anything yet but number of guests.. He wants to invite the world but our RH does not hold the world.. LOL

We had fun going to the different venues when we were searching and we realized we almost always like and hated the same things about each place. Our least favorite thing so far is guest list omg the dreaded list.

QOTD l 10/17/13 - Long Island Weddings

This whole process has been more fun than I imagined. Surprisingly, when I went to the florist I was so excited because I can now envision my wedding day, meanwhile I would have told you I didn’t care about the flowers!! I know our wedding is going to be so amazing I can’t wait to share it with everyone. My FH is so cute he loves how hard I am working to make this day perfect for us and luckily I have been able to have everything I wanted!!

Hmmm I have really been enjoying the entire process! It's so fun knowing that all of my planning isn't abstract anymore - and that pinterest board is full of ACTUAL ideas!

Hands down....the honeymoon!

Oh and the wedding bands. I'm excited doing the research on that. (Not gonna buy it until the summer though).

Sometimes i get giddy, like Christmas Eve giddy, thinking of marrying the guy!

I would say those are the 3 most fun things for me!

ETA: didn't see the other question. Something I haven't enjoyed....determining the amount of guests, for sure.

Last night we got a bottle of Little Penguin Pinot Noir and just sat on the Etsy website together looking up stuff that we wanted to get. It's really brought us closer (if that was even possible) to not only be sharing in this special day together, but to be planning it together as well.

I agree with this! My FH and I have decided on every major vendor together and have had so much planning. My favorite part of the wedding planning has been planning an amazing celebration for our family and friends to be a part of. My least favorite part has been figuring out logistics and of course figuring out how to pay for everything

The worst part of planning has been the guest list and how everything is so expensive! Also my FMIL and my mother have been making the planning hard.

The best part of planning the wedding so far would have to be that FH and I have grown closer because we have been able to deal with stuff together. He is so so supportive :)
