a moment that took my breathe away with FH....
Last April.. we went to Boston for a few days... for a getaway.. the weather was icky.. but we still walked around and had a FABULOUS TIME doing tons of site seeing! The second night we were there.. we got back to the room pretty early..... because it was pouring outside....We had brought some wine with us....and we needed some ice.. so FH asked me to go get it.. (BLAH... i was thinking.. come on YOU go get it.. im in my PJS lol lol) well.... I walked to get ice.. and then came back....and had forgotten my KEY CARD to the room so iknock and I get a 'JUST A SECOND' i waslike come on.... Im standing here with a BUCKET OF ICE!!!! LOL LOL After like a minute of waiting.. he opened the door... and the room was DARK and im like, what's wrong in here? and the I look down to see all these rose petals on the floor.... leading to the bed... where thre were a ton of rose petals all over the bed...... candles going... romantic music playing.......wine glasses out... it was FABULOUS.. so romantic and I loved it ..... it was one of our best nights to date

It was summer and we was at the lakefront just enjoying the view. He started to look at me and just told me how beautiful I am and how he couldnt live without me. Then he started to break down to cry and started calling out to GOD...thanking him that he sent me to him....That moment on I knew this was the man for me. While he continued to thank the LORD he just held me soooo tight and close to him.

FH always takes my breath away (like when he farts in bed!)
but seriously, he has done little things in the past that have made me be like 'wow, i love him' but he isnt the most romantic person. He will say things that make me want to cry, they are so nice.

FH isn't one for grand, romantic overtures like that. he takes my breath away with all of the little things he does: taking care of me when i'm sick, volunteering to cook dinner when i'm tired, having patience with my mother when mine has run out, comforting me when i'm upset and irrational, accepting me for what i am, etc, etc. he's incredibly sweet and considerate, and i feel blessed to have found him.

The day we became official LOL
We were seeing eachother for like 3 months and I had to go away to Vegas for work. I am not one for ultimatums but I told him that when I get back he either wants to be with me or not.
Well he drove me to the airport in the morning and we kissed and hugged for so long, I actually cried when I left him. Well when I landed and unpacked my phone rang and it was Chris. He started to tell me how much he missed me already and how he never wants to spend another moment without me and he asked me to be his girlfriend. I know asking someone to be your girlfriend at 27 years old seems a little funny but I was so happy that day. I don't think you could wipe the smile off my face. I still think about that day and we have been together every since

great question!!
my FH is similar to beram63's in that he isn't into the big grandiose gestures, but one time in college he did the most adorable thing!
i was hanging out with my roommates in our dorm waiting for billy to pick me up to go to a concert. all of a sudden i hear this music from outside. we looked out, and he was serenading me with one of those horns that you get from parades! lol it was so adorable!

Such a great question. And I feel like there are so many. I guess the one that stands out the most is my turning point in our relationship. I was holding back my feelings for him cause I was afraid of getting hurt, but he told me since the day we met that he was going to marry me, he was always so open about how he felt and on our first Valentine's Day together (1 week after becoming official), we were snuggled in each others arms, he looked me right into my eyes and told me he waited for a girl like me his whole life. That he felt so blessed, that no matter what happens in his life, it wouldn't matter as long as he had me by his side. He had tears in his eyes (and he's not one to cry) and he said even though I've only known you for a month, I couldn't picture my life without you. He said he loves how he feels when he's with me and how he can't stop thinking of me when I'm not with him. It was such a magical night. We listened to love songs and drank wine and just opened up. That was the night I finally let my wall down and started to fall in love with him.

he has done so many things but mostly when we hang out, listen to music, and he reads poetry to me.

I think it was when we spent our first new years eve together. We were stayed at hotel for the night, and when the count was getting ready to start, he held my hand and asked me to pray with him. And we did, we prayed right into the new year. I'll never forget it. No one has ever asked me to pray with them, it was so special. That night I knew that I was in love with him.

There were two moments I would never forget. They both happened around the same time. First, he told me he loved me after a month of dating. He told me that I didn't have to say it back. So, I didn't because I was stunned. But I did tell him the next day. And when I did, he started to cry kind of. LOL. He'll kill me if he finds out I am telling you all this Then, the next time he took my breath away was when he told me I was the girl he was going to marry- within a month of dating! (But we were friends for years before so it's not like I didn't know him and vice versa) But he was right- here we are 4 years later getting married!
