Okay... 'SAY YES TO THE DRESS LADIES'

Today's question is all about the dress

2 separate ones.... one for ladies who BOUGHT THEIR DRESS ALREADY... the other for LADIES WHO HAVENT PURCHASED....

If you haven't purchased....
What are you looking for? How do you think you will KNOW that it is THE ONE??? If you have gone shopping and haven't FOUND IT YET... are you having anxiety about it?

If you have purchased?

How did it feel when you put it on????
How did you know it was THE ONE?

I figured those of us (like me ) who haven't made the purchase can share their thoughts.. and those of us who have... can give us advice, as well as share that FABULOUS MOMENT.. when THEY KNEW IT WAS THE DRESS

Ok time to head to work... have a wonderful day my lovely brides of 09!

I still haven't bought the dress yet, but I've had a couple of times where I said, 'this is the one!' That's how I know I haven't found the one.... there are too many 'ones' right now. I love silk/satin, a full a-line skirt makes me look slimmest, along with a dropped waist - they really help trim me down and hide the huge lower body. i love lace, hate beading, and i know it must be sleeveless. i have a picture of the perfect gown in my head, but i know i haven't genuinely had that 'this is the dress I have to wear to my wedding' feeling yet. it makes me a little anxious, but at the same time I'm happy I'm not 'married' to a particular dress yet because I'm having fun trying them on.

I haven't bought a dress yet, but I really LOVE pick-up style skirts. The majority of dress pics I have saved have pick-up skirts. However, I don't want a strapless dress and about 99% of dresses with pick-up skirts are strapless. I want a scoopneck with spaghetti straps. But for all I know when I go to try on dresses I could look horrible in a pick-up skirt, so I am pretty much open to anything.

I have no idea I will know it's the one though...I foresee myself trying on at least 100 dresses and returning to the bridal salon many times.

I am waiting until the summer to start searching for a dress. I know I want stapless and I have no idea about anything else! I have horrible anxiety that I wont know if ones I try on will be the one!

Ok here is my story...My sister and I went to a local boutique in MD when she came to visit me only one week after FH proposed. We thought we would go get some ideas and see what styles I like, but I had no idea that I would find THE ONE that day. I tried on about 6 or 7 gowns. I found one on the rack that was my fav it was a Maggie Sottero and it is called Capri Marie. I loved it. Then my sister found this dress and on the hanger I absolutely hated it. She was like just humor me. So reluctantly I told her I would try it for her sake but that I really didn't want to. So I get the gown on and I adored it. We open the door of the fitting room to go out to the pedestal and all of a sudden my and FH's wedding song starts to play. AND IT IS NOT A POPULAR SONG AT ALL. They never play it on the radio. So we all thought that was a sign. All of a sudden my sis and all the girls in the boutique were ooing and ahhing and I just knew this is it. This is the gown I want to marry my best friend, my soul mate in!! It was a great moment!

I've loved a few dresses so far, but on Monday I tried one on that I was in love with before it was even completely on me. As I was stepping into it, I said to the woman helping me 'I already love it!'.

I purchased THE dress last night
I knew it was the dress before we were even engaged! My friend at work was browsing through the Maggie Sottero website as I watched over her shoulder. So, after getting engaged, this was the first dress I tried on and loved. But I thought since I had all this time (year and 9months), I might as well try on as many dresses as possible. And so I did. Nothing came close to the feeling I got when I put the original dress on. Now, I have to wait a whole year to see it again.

I still have not bought my dress but I am going in a few weeks. I wanted to wait until after my eparty. I found the dress I am getting in a magazine. As soon as I saw it I KNEW I had to have it. I have tried it on and it is more beautiful than the pictures. I tried on a few dresses but when I tried this one on I felt more beautiful than I have ever felt. I could not stop smiling

Okay, I went dress shopping in January and had my heart set on silk satin with pick up skirt. I tried two dresses on and thought they were the ones. My mother advised me to look further. Well, we went to Bridal Reflections and tried on a million. When I was standing there in this poofy dress, my sister goes 'Michele- try that one one.' I saw this sparkly one on a hanger as was like 'Hell no!'. Well, I tried it on and I felt so beautiful in that dress. I just knew. I ordered it right away.

i love slim a-line lace dresses. i found two that i looove, but am holding off because i can't choose. the one is a maggie sottero dress and it is really flattering, but the pics online don't really show the details, so i'm nervous that the pics the day of won't do it justice either.

the other one i love is a demetrious, and has a satin top and beautifully detailed lace bottom. i'm leaning towards this one, but it doesn't have the side sweep waist like the maggie has (which is so flattering on me!)

we'll have to see!

I went dress shopping about 8 times!!!!! My mom knows someone who works at Lillettes. So my mom made an appointment for me and I didn't want to cancel because I wanted to be polite to my mom's friend who kept telling me to come down. I had already found a dress at RK bridal that I was prepared to buy but it wouldn't hurt to go to Lillette's anyway. Well the second gown that I tried on was so beautiful. Picking it up off the rack it didn't seem so fabulous but when my consultant took it off the hanger i just looked at it and said WOW that's a really beautiful dress. I tried it on and just felt like a princess and more so than any other dress made me feel. I felt that all the wedding dresses i had tried on were all beautiful but i wasn't enthusiastic about any until i tried on my EOM gown. I just kept touching the fabric and the beading on the dress. I really love my dress and it was everything that i was looking for in a wedding dress. The sample fit me so perfectly as well. I felt great in my dress. That's how i knew.

I am looking for simple and elegant. I am having a beach wedding so over the top won't look right. I like mermaid dresses. I looked at a few with my mom, but I haven't found 'the one.' I am not worried, I have plenty of time yet!

The dress I bought was the 2nd one I tried on. I tried on a dozen dresses, which were all beautiful and looked great on me. As beautiful as all the dresses were I kept going back to #2. I tried it on once more and I just had a feeling like 'i'm not going to find anything else as perfect as this'. I felt like a princess. Even though I wasn't planning to buy the dress yet, it was just 'the one'

i knew i liked it because i didnt want to take it off and it made me feel like a bride - its not that i didnt like any of the other dresses i tried, i just didnt feel like a bride in them....i didnt cry or make a big fuss though the dress i picked is simple and elegant but i wanted a little more jazz to it so i decided to change the neckline to a really deep sweetheart (i tried on mostly sweetheart necklines and liked those best) im a little nervous b/c i wont know how it will look until my dress comes in but im praying i love it
