I can't believe my week is almost up. So today question is about bridal showers and bachelorette parties.

Are you planning your bridal shower and/or bachelorette party or will it be a surprise? If you had total control over either or both how would you want it done?

I really want either a brunch of finger foods for my bridal shower. I been to bridal showers that were in the afternoon and had big dinner meals and it was always so much food. Other than that I am really not that picky.
For my bachelorette party I would love to go somewhere warm during Feb break with all my girls. But one not all of the them can take the time off (the ones that are not teachers) and I know it would be way to much money. So I am not sure what they have planned.

part of me wants to let it be a surprise but i am such a control freak and have dreamed about this time for so long that I want to plan it. Plus I will be having two showers, one in NY and one in CT, so it will be hard to surprise me.

I'm trying to have some control My mom knows I want a brunch with a lucky elephant theme or something. FSIL told me I don't have a choice with my bachelorette party, but we'll see how that goes

If I had total control the Bridal Shower would just be a simple, laid back brunch. I'm really not into games or anything. And my bachelorette party would be a wineries tour in a limo.

I would loved to be surprised, but I don't know who will throw my Bridal Shower. My family lives in FL and all of FH's family is here in NY.

For my bachelorette party, I would love to know so I can get a great outfit! I would love to have a limo and go into the city and dance all night!!

I am not planning my bachelorette party however I am aware of the plans. My family is planning to tkae me to Las Vegas. I'm not too picky about what we do as long as we have fun. I'm not crazy about having strippers but if they get me one I will be a good sport just for them.

I'm not sure about my bridal shower. I would like for it to be a surprise.

I'd like my bridal shower to be a surprise because I've always seen them done as surprises on tv, in movies, etc, but my family has always planned them to death. I'm really over-the-top Type A, but for a simple shower I'd be okay with giving up some control :)

Bachelorette party needs to not be a surprise so I know what to pack and what to wear Otherwise, I have no specific vision for it so as long as my girls and I have fun like we usually do it'll be awesome.

My bridesmaids and MOH told me that I have absolutely no control over it and that I am just to sit back and relax instead of worry like I normally do!

I did say I didn't want to open gifts at the bridal shower, I hate being the center of attention so I asked for the gifts to be wrapped in clear so I wouldn't have to be in front of everyone opening gifts.

Im leaving the planning for the bridal shower up to my mother and bridal party. However, I did tell them what theme I wanted. The bachelorette party will be planned by my girls. They know I love Atlantic City so the party will probably be there.
I know they will do a good job with the planning, but not having control is bothering me. I really didnt think I would feel this way. Am I bad person?
