Good morning girls! I made sure to wake up early this morning because Billy Joel is playing at Shea Stadium in the summer and the tickets are going on sale at 9!!! I wanted to make sure I was awake for it! WISH ME LUCK!!
My previous questions this week have been pretty intense, so I wanted to lighten it up a bit for my last QOTD. Today, I want to talk about something everyone loves… FOOD!
What kind of foods are a must-have for you and/or FH at the wedding? Why must you have them? Are they cultural? Are they your favorite?

First FH and I decided that we HAVE to have some sort of shrimp and seafood element at our wedding. Neither of us likes seafood but we know our families love it and it’s important to us that our guests are happy!
FH is also insisting that we have a chocolate fountain. Every time a chocolate fountain is mentioned, he gets all giddy like a school girl. I’m a girl with a sweet tooth, so I don’t think I can live without the Viennese table!

My mom LOVES sweets so we added the vienese hour for her and FH really wanted it. We also added tons of seafood to our cocktail hour ... I really hope I make it to cocktail hour.

well we both automatically decided that both of our families will kill us if we dont have shrimp cocktail.....and we decided since we want our wedding to be fun, and not too formal/traditional...we want BBQ food for our CH :) oh yea, and im definetely doing a candy buffet for our favors! i must have candy corn!

i think we might be doing BBQ too, which is going to be SUCH an added treat for a wedding! There is an open grill on the CH patio and FH can't stand letting it be there unused

Anything sea food for us...I love scallops and tuna tartar so that is a must. We both love every kind of food so we would have been happy with anything. I just wanted something different for our wedding because it seems everyone has the same type of food at weddings...so we looked to change it up.

I want a chocolate fountain! I wonder if we can add that at TC. We are pretty excited about the crepe station. Also, we want to have the Mexican station and I am sure FH wants the mashed potato station. We did not officially decide on all of the details.

I am so glad that WM includes a crepe station in CH; my mother is from France and she always made us crepes for snacks!
Also, I am sooooooooooooo in with the fajita station! One of my BMs nearly peed herself with excitement!!!

We both absolutely love a nice piece of steak so it was important that for dinner we were getting Filet Mignon and not just Roast Beef!!
Also it was important to me that there was something more just than wedding cake for dessert. We're not doing the full veinnese hour since our wedding is in the afternoon but I did get trays of italian cookies and French pastries for the tables!! YUMMM

I love seafood paella so I'm definitely picking that as one of the options for CH. But what I really really want is an $8/pp extra that I hope by the time the wedding gets closer I'll be able to add... a truffle bar! The way my BM explained it is that they have chocolate and white chocolate truffles attached to lollipop sticks and then a variety of toppings to roll them in. That sounds sooo goood! I would love to add that!
My parents would prefer that the extra I choose would be the Raw Bar but I don't like oysters so I want to pick something that I would actually eat!

I am having Kabase, SP, for FH and lots of seafood for me,lol. But we are having every sweet they can give!!!! The fountain, vienesse,ice cream bar and of course the cake!!!

FH needs prime rib, mozz sticks, my dad needs pigs in the blankets, i want some sort of mexican during CH and i'll see if my RH can do chicken mornay (really freaking delicious!) and most importantly, both FH and i need ice cream cake!!
