~~~QOTD SUNDAY 1/10/10~~~

Good morning ladies! Here it is, my last QOTD as BOTW! I'm also heading out in a few to a brunch some of my friends are having as sort of an engagement party for me, so I'll be back later to make my BOTW announcement! But here is my last question (I apologize if it isnt a great one-I went out drinking last night for the first time in aages and I'm kinda feeling it this morning lol)


When you were single/dating and you thought about the man you would marry, what were some dealbreakers, things that the guy either had to be/have or not be/not have in order for him to be THE ONE?


For me it was the following three (and I'm not saying there is anything wrong with guys or people who are the opposite, but these were just my preferences)

Must be Jewish
MUST love dogs
Must be politically and socially liberal minded

must be ambitious
must not be controlling
must want a family

I like your musts...
I needed someone to be liberal minded too. I am way too into politics..I mean it works for some but I get too upset.

must be laid back to balance out my crazy
must love family
(it helps that he loves friends quotes) loves TV well not a deal breaker but its nice

smart
kind
he is the 'nice' guy

Must have a sense of humor. I am extremely sarcastic and I'm not serious very often... so taking me seriously is a big mistake.

Must be patient and kind. I do NOT have ANY patience, so I needed someone to balance that out.

Must be family-oriented. I am wicked close to my family, so I needed someone who was accepting of that.

Must be family-oriented and want to have kids

intelligent

liberal and open minded

must be funny

must be romantic

absolutely no smoking

must give me 'butterflies' past the '3 month mark'

Treat his mother well was always the number one thing. Growing up, a boy's mother is supposed to be the most important woman in his life. If he cant treat the most important woman in his life with respect, how will he treat me?

must be intelligent
must be good to family (treats his parents well)
must be financially responsible and have a good job

Had to be gr8 to his mother
Ambitious
Keeps me guessing (I get bored easily)
Smart
No kids
No Smoking
Could handle the TRUTH

Must love dogs for sure!!!!!!!!

Must be amazing kisser

Must be funny and share my sick sense of humor

Must be kind
Must be able to put up with me and my family(and LOVE IT)
and must be funny

Must be mushy
Must be smart
Must be silly
Must get along with my very close family
Must be clean because I am not and I can't deal with two people being disasters!

must love cats
must be really smart
must not be too liberal politically
and bear

The musts for me..
Must have a job...
Must love to travel...have a sense of adventure
like to experience new things
have a sense of humor
Must be social
must like crazy families... b/c mine is crazy. LOL

I'm replying on Monday. Oh well!

Must have a great sense of humor.
Must be politically liberal (funny, mine actually is borderline conservative...)
Must have excellent taste in music.
Must not stand in the way of my love of seeing Pearl Jam live (broke up with someone over this once)
Must love cats (he didn't, but grew to love them!)

It wasn't a MUST, but my ideal guy would also be a vegetarian.
FH is a vegetarian.

The only deal breaker for me is smoking. I'm non-smoker and I didn't want to date a smoker.

Yeah, that was mine too, until I fell in love with one. FH quit smoking 4 months into our relationship so I thought he was done. He did so good for a year and a half and then started up again with 1 or 2 here and there. It really upsets me, but now he won't ever smoke in front of me again or buy a pack, or so he says. He denies it, but I still say it's the people he hangs around with on the railroad.

My one deal breaker was someone who was not Jewish.


And yet here I am, marrying a Presbyterian
