Its been a great week as BOTW. My question today is how did you pick your wedding date?? Is there any meaning behind the date you choose?

We knew we had to do summer since I was planning on getting a teaching job.
Beind that I'm only subbing right now, we probably could have done a fall or winter wedding for a lot cheaper!

Our original wedding date was June 4, 2011, to match our anniversary. The rh did not have that date booked so we and the next available date they had was the 17th. So we had to book that date.

FH and i orgiginally wanted to get married in Dec. of 2010 but b.c of money we decided to hold the wedding off till 2011. Since we were putting it off we decided to throw a summer wedding. Ironically enough the date we chose just so happend to be the date we met 13 years ago to the day.
We didnt realize it then but about a month later I was going through some old things and there is was. We had met June 26th 1998.

FH and I weren't even engaged yet and I was looking through the calendar to figure out what date would be a good one to get married on (I'm crazy lol) When I realized that 9-10-11 was on a Saturday, I immediatly texted him that I found my wedding date!! I told everyone that was the day we were going to get married and everyone laughed because we weren't even engaged yet! Wellllll who's laughing now??

We just wanted a summer wedding! When we found THE place we saw what was available and pricing and FH picked the day HE wanted!

We were aiming for a Friday night b/c it's cheaper then Saturaday but when we started looking at halls in (July-Aug) a few were already booked for EVERY Friday. We talked about Thursday and it just made since.
So we didn't have a 'date' in mind, we had a month and went from there

yes! we got engaged on 3/26/10 and we're getting married on 3/26/11! i love that!
we got lucky that it fell on a saturday bc we wanted a saturday night wedding

Great question!
We knew we wanted a long engagement so that we wouldn't have to stress about money or anything. I looveee the fall, so we thought it would be perfect. We originally wanted 11/11/11, but Jericho Terrace didn't have that date available. Instead we went with the week before 11/4/11 and I love it just as much!

There is no reason behind our date at all. I'm sorry.............We chose the summer of 11 because that is between when I get my masters and start my doctorate. And it gave us enough time to have an 18 month engagement to save money.

We chose the date because Hunting season starts in November and we didn't want to be hot at our wedding! Sorry, nothing significant or romantic about our date!

10/7/11-- we were engaged on 10/3/09 and wanted to stay as close to that date as we could. We knew we'd get married in the fall-- we both love oct!!!

We or more like I, wanted to get married before I turned 30 but we just found that june worked out better for us. We also wanted a summer wedding and wanted to get it in before the super hot weather rolled around....although, June was super hot this year!!

Not really any meaning behind the date. We originally wanted to do a summertime wedding but because FH's family is coming in from Europe, the ticket prices would be outrageous so we opted for an early spring wedding. There is just too many birthdays in April, so we decided to go with May (which date was going to give us the cheapest price at our RH LOL).

Our original date was 5/1/2010. We picked that date because all the flowers and flowering trees are blooming around that time. Eventually we pushed the date to the one now due to financial problems. I'm a teacher and I go to school so we figured that the beginning of July would be nice and not too hot yet. Choosing our date was more of what was convenient for us than anything else.
And contrary to what my lurking X MOH thinks, NO we didn't push our wedding a year because YOU didn't like the BM dresses.

I had always wanted to get married in May but the time that we got engaged wasnt really conducive to a wedding a little over a year later.
So we started talking about August, we found the RH that we wanted and started talking dates. The only dates in August that they had open was Aug 13 and I REFUSED to get married on Friday the 13th haha.
So the next date that came up was Sept 4....I knew immediately that I wanted that date. It was my grandmothers birthday AND her anniversary....it felt like we could have her there without her actually being there. i LOVE my date and wouldnt trade it for the world.

No special meaning behind our date. We wanted either May or June and we picked that weekend. My parents were also married in May and will be married 35 years a week before our wedding

We looked at the calander and out of all the weekends we only had 4 that would work so it was a process of elimination! I am a tax accountant so we knew any time between Feb 1 and April 15 was out! His first wedding was in May & my first was Sept. so they were out. June was too busy with HS graduations of famly members. I really wanrted an outside ceremony so we originally chose July 9th but moved it to the Sunday July 10th because it was more affordable and the RH had that date open.
