Its been a great week as BOTW. My question today is how did you pick your wedding date?? Is there any meaning behind the date you choose?

Our anniversary of the day we met is June 22. But that was too late in June for me I hate being hot lol but I love June and wanted as early as possible and the 2nd at least had the 2 in it lol oh and it's Derek Jeter's # so I figured that was good

we wanted summer because my mom, dad and sister and many of our friends work in schools. Originally we wanted end of June, but the dates were booked! We didn't want it on 4th of July weekend in case people make travel plans, so we picked the next weekend, July 9th. Mostly logical and not romantic!

I originally wanted 6/18/11 but that was booked and 6/11 is my fiancee birthday and the day he propose and the 6/4 is my MOH birthday and I didn't want it on birthdays and august was out of the question because my last planned wedding was august of 08 and it was called and the next Saturday that was open was 7/9/11 and I wanted summer so it worked

We're getting married on our dating anniversary. Timing worked out perfect and it's one less date to have to remember!

we knew we wanted fall - and either september or october. as we both work as teachers and wanted to HM right away we looked to see when the jewish holidays fell for 2011 and picked the weekend before so that we would only need to take off 3 days from work.
i wanted friday, but NRC was booked already, so we took sunday b/c the price for Saturday was too much.

my date is oct 9th 2011.. i am from long island but FH is from upstate ny so we both decided that columbus weekend would be a good weekend so that ppl have the monday off to either travel back home or to relax with a day off.. plus we both love the fall and the colors of the fall!!!

There really was no intense thought to the date, it just happened to be what was available at the RH/Ceremony location... However, after visiting FH's father @ the cemetery yesterday, I realized that our wedding is 8/20 - FH's father was born in August, and died on January 20th..... sort of a combination.....

July 4th is our dating anniversary, so we did July 3rd so we wouldn't have two anniversaries! Plus I like to say I'm taking back America for the British, one guy at a time!!

Awesome question Suzie Love!
We wanted to get married on either May or September since the weather is nice in these months, we opted Sep. because it gave us more time to save the money.
