We exchange our gifts with no one around but us so we can really enjoy the gift giving. We also buy at least one ornament a year together. When we move in together we plan on starting a few traditions - he wants to bake cookies together and I want one night with no T.V. - just christmas music, hot chocolate and tree decorating

We started ours already snuggling and watching xmas movies til we have watched them all, including xmas cartoons. I have stuff that most dont, my dad always taped off the tv and it is such a big memory of my dad so we do it. I do want to start the baking tradtion and decorating when we live together.

i want to start one.. but not sure what yet... maybe i'll making him a special dessert but only make it on xmas... FMIL had a couple traditions that I know i'm going to keep and make my own, and I told FH and he liked that idea... but she had no xmas traditions....
i know i want to buy a new ornament for the tree every year we're together.. i thought that was a cute idea... on top of going to pick out a tree... yay this will be our first xmas together in our house...
i like the ornament idea!!! i wanna get one that says 'our first xmas' FH is jewish but so excited to celebrate xmas this year!!! lol
i got one already for our first one.. i'll take a pic and post it up later.. but i can write inside of the 2 snowmen... and i'm going to put 'Paula & Joey's 1st christmas... ' pick a nice color to do it... but i still have to get more to fill our future tree... but you should get one where you can write inside of it... makes it more special...

We always go into the city the day after christmas to see the tree, see a show on broadway and go out to dinner. We also have a big 'wrapping party' just the two of us like a week before and we drink cocoa and have cookies. We'll carry both of those on.

My family is big on celebrating xmas eve. When we were younger, my parents would wake my sister and I up around midnight and all our fam would be at the house, like santa just came. We'd open all our presents then, etc. So we'll just continue doing that, celebrating on xmas eve as well as xmas (also makes visiting both fams easier).
We used to do that also, every once in while we do that.
