*QOTD Tuesday 08/25/2009***

Hello Ladies Good morning, So lets talk little bundles of joy!! Are you getting Baby pressure? If so from who? (FMIL, Your mom, FH)

OR do you have baby fever?

For me my mom is banking for us to have a honeymoon baby!! right now Fh and I are definately not ready we dont have a house yet and he is still trying to find a job, FMIL always says she is not ready to be a grandma, we think in another year or so when we are on our feet well start talking about it more seriously!

Thankfully we are not getting baby pressure put on us!!
FH and I really want to be selfish for a while and focus on being married, travel, get our dream house together. Our families definitely agree with that.
But we will have babies sooner rather than later, because I'm 30 and FH is 34.

I thought for a hot second I was getting baby fever, but then I went to a baby shower and was COMPLETELY disinterested in all the ducks and bunnies and diaper genies..

Sooooooo I'm not there yet. LOL

I have baby fever, but FH is more realistic about things. We both want to travel and go so many places before starting a family, and I need to keep that in mind ... I wouldn't mind getting pregnant right now! FMIL and my mom are also starting with light baby pressure ... if FH and I have kids they will likely be the only grandkids on both sides, since FH is an only child and my brother is 35 and living at home, as single as ever ... I don't think kids are in the cards for him ...

We are going to be trying shortly. No pressure from anyone except for mother nature.....Im 36 so I dont have time to wait.

Fh wants one like NOW. I want to wait a few years.. finish my masters and travel. He is fine with that.

No pressure from the families yet.. except my dad drops hints every now and then.

i have baby fever!

anytime i'm around a kid, lol!

but i want to wait....fmil wrote in my SHOWER card that she can't wait for a grandkid!! Lol...a little pressure!

I told fh we will at least wait a year! he gets baby fever every so often. when we were visiting my mom at the hospital on sunday.. he was like let's go see the maternity floor!!!!

We are plannign to go to hawaii for our one year anniv...so i told him we can make a hawaii baby!

2 of my BMs are pregnant right now so I'm going through a lot of the baby talk and stuff...but to be honest, I see how they are bracing themselves for sleepless nights, crying babies, dirty diapers,teething, potty training etc.

Put it to you like this-I'm not going to try or not try after we get married. What will be will be. But I def dont want to be pregnant immediately.

I want one now! but i think we should wait until after we have a house but i dont think anytime is a 'good time' we are going to leave it up to mother nature i think

I guess I'm the only one here that doesnt want kids...at all (not a baby hater, we just dont want them...but I will be an awesome aunt)

I already have a 4 year old with DH, but his mother is constantly getting at us about having another child. She once told me I was 'selfish' for only having one child. I had quite a few complications with my first, so Im left maybe not being able to have anymore kids. Lately DH and I have been exploring the possibility of adopting another baby

I want to wait a year at least before trying. My parents want grandkids but they know financially we are not ready. MIL agrees. FIL however tells us all the time what we are missing is a little girl. But he is not 100% well so we know he isn't rationally thinking about whether we are ready.

DH is pressuring me!

He does it jokingly, and according to him he wants to wait a year… but I don’t think he’d be able to contain his excitement if there happened to be an “accident.”

I was getting a little baby pressure from my mom because she wants to be able to take care of our baby while i work so she keeps telling me oh i'm getting older. I told her we just can't right now because i want to go back to school to finish up so she calmed down after that.

We're not getting pressure at all. In fact, my mother doesn't want me to have kids ever, she thinks I'm going to be a shizzy mother, which is really nice and comforting. My dad doesn't pressure me, but he's more vocal about wanting grandkids, but mainly to create as his minions more than anything. FIL's, who I thought would be really gung ho about grandkids, actually haven't said boo about it, but I think they're afraid to.

In terms of me and FH, we want to wait a year and a half-2 years ideally. We don't live together now, so we want to enjoy being on our own and having the freedom to travel and set up a home first. Plus I told him I'd kill him if he got me pregnant before we get to go to Greece next summer. He said we should start trying then, and I tend to agree. If it happened after that, it could still be a little soon, but that's pretty much my conditions.

Oh this is me exactly!! I'm 36 so want to get a move on but will wait to try for at least 5 months bc FH is still in grad school and I have a 80% travel job so need to have some options!!!

no external pressure though but I do have a little fever. . and I do wish I had been with DH longer bc we do want to travel travel travel first .. I guess that can come later

I def. have baby fever! FH really wants a baby too. I'm coming off BC a couple weeks after the wedding and we're hoping to be pregnant by the new year! We'll see what happens!

We haven't gotten any real pressure from anyone although my mom half joked that she would love for me to come home from the HM pregnant! Crazy lady!

I have big time baby fever!!!! My sister is pregnant and due right before my wedding and I'd love for our babies to grow up together (even though she lives in NC and I'm in NY). I have a plan...and I know plans don't always work...but I'd like to get pregnant in August of 2010 to have a June 2011 baby so I could ride out the summer with the baby and then go back to school (work) in September and have my mom watch the baby.
