Thank you for making me Bride of the week!

Ok ladies so here is my frist question of the day

What was the reason behind picking your wedding date?Does it have a special meaning for your FH and you?

We picked our wedding day because we wanted a fall wedding and 11 is both our lucky numbers. That was our number playing sports almost our whole lives. It was also something easy for FH to remember he says.

When we first decided on a June wedding, we figured we were waiting till 2011 so we might as well have a summer wedding, then after we booked we realized we met on that exact day back in 1998... such a surprise coincidence.

We originally wanted to get married in June/July - when we visited our RH, the closest to June that they had available for the room that we wanted was April 30th - so we just went with it.

We wanted 9/10/11 because we started dating that same weekend 8 years ago but parted with the idea after we how much cheaper Sunday prices were..

So it's still in September and on a holiday weekend but we're saving money with a Sunday price..

Well... we were engaged in october and we wanted a fall wedding and we picked columbus day weekend so we had an entire weekend to celebrate-- especially with our family thats from OOT.

so 10.7.11 it is!

I actually picked our wedding date before we were even engaged lol. A friend of mine was planning his wedding and wanted to get married on 7-8-09 but it was a Wednesday and his FW wouldn't have it haha. Well I thought it was a cool idea so I looked through a calendar and realized that 9-10-11 was a Saturday so I called FH and told him I figured out the day we were getting married haha even though I didn't have a ring yet. Well it all worked out

there was no reason for picking that date in particular. We had originally thought to do a June or July wedding but since ticket fares from Europe are really expensive at that time (a bulk of FH's family is flying in from there) we moved the date up to May since it's cheaper for them. We were thinking April but my birthday and A LOT of birthdays are in April so we thought it would be too much. We literally went to the Riviera, asked to see what dates were available in early 2011 and just picked it LOL.

June's a special month for us. We first started dating in HS the month of June, and 'this time around' we started dating in June, too. Also, my grandparents wedding anniversary was June 16. We picked June 18th!

Originally we were going to get married Memorial day weekend in 2012 since I figured we both would have off for the holiday weekend. FH felt that date was too far away so I suggested the summer of 2011, since I have off summers. I picked August 5th because it was the first Friday of the month and FH gets vacation time usually in August. So it would be the perfect time for us to have our honeymoon.

Im crazy and I LOVE even #'s thats why I was going to get married in 2010 initially but after we got engaged FH lost his job so we moved the wedding back to 2011. so I went through all the days in the winter that would be some what of an even #. Then I had to figure out when it wouldnt be so flippin cold especially since my grandma is wearing a sweatshirt in July when she comes to visit so i picked march and the only 2 Sat in 2011 that was an even # was the 12th and 26th but the 26ths would be warmer so that is how i picked my wedding date.

We were going to pick October 21 for our anniversary....i just happened to ask how much it would be if we booked in November...the price went down $15pp.....for two weeks later it was a no brainer.....

We were originally going to pick a September wedding because September is a big month for our family/weddings and it wouldn't be bad weather. When it came to October we know we didn't want Columbus Day weekend for our OOT and getting around town - considering it is also a Jewish holiday around then I believe.

So we picked the 14th because we didn't want it close to Halloween.

no particular reason at all lol just picked a date off the calendar!

Originally wanted 10/22 since thats our dating anniversary but I wanted outdoor ceremony and didn't want to chance it...also couldnt fathom paying same amt for oct wedding as a warmer month

so we went with September...we figured labor day friday is better than a random friday

We chose our day bc it was the day before a holiday and all the OOT guests would be more likely to come and its in the fall which we both love!!! So that made it easier to choose

Nope.. Not special meaning.. We just decided September... and then we look at ALL of the SUndays in Sept.. and decided 25 was a gret day =-)

We both knew that we needed to have a summer wedding due to my profession.I knew that we would be unable to go on our honeymoon right after the wedding if we selected to get married in the fall which I would have wanted. So this is why we selected to have a summer wedding.
