So Today's Part of our Wedding Theme is...

SAVE THE DATES!

--------------------------------------------

Part One:
Were there any other dates that you and FH wanted or considered to get married on before you selected your wedding date?

Part Two:
In lieu of 'saving the date', If you could go back in time and give yourself advice, what 'date' or age would you go back to and what would you tell yourself?

We were think of Labor Day weekend 2012 (Either 9/1 or 9/2)

Probably sometime in HS. Don't sweet the small stuff and there's a lot more to life then what you're living today!

Our wedding date --- was SOOO difficult to pick. First we wanted May 2012. Then another host of family events: FH's sister graduating high school, Fh's sister graduating college, my cousin allegedly getting married (not anymoe but at the time we chose our date he was), Fh's cousin getting married early June (family couldn't afford to travel twice).

It was a mess, so we gave up on 2012 for 2013. I'm sooo glad. Then picking weekends became figuring out what weekend would work for the family in May -as family is coming from PA, Florida, CA - we needed t figure out rough school schedules for parents. YIKES

Anything - any date, I would change. Maybe not be so obsessed over my high school sweetheart. Or maybe saying yes to FH then first time he asked me out - before he got engaged the first time (to someone else!).

Part One: FH and I originally wanted to do our anniversary (June 2), but economically it just wasn't realistic. So then we started looking into weekends where there was a 4 day weekend, so we could have our wedding on a sunday. In the process of looking at that, our Banquet Manager told us that our date (the friday of memorial day weekend) was less expensive than that sunday. So we said what the heck and just stuck with it.

Part Two: In hindsight, I would have gone back to October of 2010 and told my dad that I couldn't go when he invited me to his wedding. It hurt my mom a lot and while I thought I was doing the right thing because he's my father and I should support him, when it came down to it, he didn't come to my engagement party and support me because he was selfish and put his new bride before me. What I put my mother through for a selfish man was the one thing I regret in this whole lifetime.

1) Originally I wanted a September wedding but that was too expensive so that didn't work out. Then we were considering July 27th which is a Friday in 2013, and our five year anniversary, but again it was too expensive so we went with April which was the last weekend before the prices went up for the peak season. Now I'm excited and love our date!

2) I dated a guy in high school and spent all my time with him. We always fought and stopped hanging out with alot of my friends because I spent all my time with him. If I could go back in time I would spend more time with my friends and less time with him.

Being a teacher everyone tried convincing us to do it in the summer but I didnt want it lol. We wanted a 'winter' wedding and originally we wanted to do Dec 1, 2012 but that didnt work out due to other family thingd so we stood with the same date but a year later :)

If i could go back in time I would probably talk to myself at 16 and tell myself to love myself because I struggled with bulimia. Or at 20 to tell myself I should never take out a credit card

No other dates were in mind for us. I teach so the holiday weekend was perfect since I didn't want a summer wedding. Plus FH's fave flower is a sunflower, so that's perfect for fall.

I'd go back to my senior year of hs & break up with the abusive bf I dated for 6 years (age 15 - 21). I would've enjoy college a lot more if I hadn't had to worry about EVERYTHING I did because he was so controlling.

There were a couple of dates we had in mind ..i really wanted to get married in april and the price want way up ..it was too crazy LOL but after that i was like how about march 30 ...well it was set and guess what i found out though my RH that the next day was easter ...arrr...so after that we though about the 17th on St. Patty Day .. perfect for an irish wedding well it fell on a sunday that was out so we did the 16

I would go back when i first started college and try to finish school much earlier then i did and i would have had a job already so it would have made life so much easier for me and save as much money as possible!

1. I really liked the idea of getting married at the beginning of the summer. Fh vetoed that because he hates the heat. We decided to go with our date because it is before spring break (I'm a teacher). We figured we would use spring break to honeymoon.

2. I would have changed my major in college. I would have chosen a major that would lead me to start a wedding planning company. Lol

We were first looking at the 3rd of July, but we couldn't decide. So we went with August 17th since we got engaged on the 17th
