*~*~*~*QOTD Wed. 1/13*~*~*~*~

Morning ladies!

When you were little, did you imagine what your wedding would be like? How detailed were your visions?

Is your wedding coming together just as you imagined? Did you have to compromise on things because of money?

For those who never had visions, is it hard sometimes to figure out what you want?

I don't really think I had many visions when I was younger about my wedding. As I got older I did. I imagined a beach or outdoor wedding. I never imagined colors though or the type of dress I would have or a theme. Now as I start to make decisions about things, I think it's hard because I don't have that vision or clear pictures in my mind like some people.

I remember at one RH the guy said all girls imagine what their cake looks like; it's a HUGE thing. And I was thinking, hmmm I really never have and I dont have a vision in mind!! I wish I did sometimes; it would make things easier!

i really never had a vison of my wedding to be honest. now througout planning and seeing other peoples things, i gather little things from everyone and get a vision. well a lot of things are just how i want them,. other things are nice but if i wouldve waited a little longer to get on the booking train, i may have done things a little differently becuase i wouldve had a clearer picture of how i wanted the overall feel to be

never had any visions for my wedding. I wasnt even sure I wanted to get married. the only thing is I wanted the white dress. which obviously now I have.

as I got older a few yrs ago I was watching The Great Gatsby and fell in love w/the theme, and wanted that type of wedding. but money doesnt allow me to have it
oh well
also watching Sex and The City I wanted the loft in the city type of thing and actually looked into it when looking for RHs but it was way over our budget plus required a lot of planning and organizing on my part which I didnt wanted to do.

I am actually more happy with what I am having now. Dreams aside its more 'ME'

I never wanted to get married until I met fh.
At first all I wanted was a perfect white dress and pictures...as the planning went on I realized there are a lot more to a wedding than a dress and pictures lol.....so far everything I wanted Im getting and it seems like its turning out perfect now we just have to figure out how to pay for it all

The only thing I remeber about daydreaming about my wedding when I was younger was having a lace veil, probably because the curtain I used as a pretend veil then was lace. I haven't looked for a veil yet but it will be lace.

I used to dream about it... It is NOTHING like what I wanted as a child.

I imagined a princess like wedding in a castle with a horse and carriage.

Now I was a fun, funky vibe... very club like atmosphere (but classy) oh and NO horse and carriage it is all party bus for me!

My vision today is nothing like I had thought it would be in my 20s. I am a product of the 80s. I had design my dress in school when I was going to FIT. It had a very long train, which comes off to a ballgown. Then the bottom of the dress becomes a cap and pants. The only thing I am using from the past is they are both still white. What was I thinking.

I was never one of those children who had envisioned their wedding. As I got older I did envision what I would like my wedding to be like and it has been coming together. I had always imagined my wedding either being outside or on the water as well as the rh being airy and having high ceilings and I have gotten both. I am very happy and pleased with everything so far.

I never dreamt of my wedding as a child. I don't think I knew what I wanted until I was engaged-- never really thought about dresses, florists, bands, etc. at weddings I have been to. Suddenly noticed what I did and didn't want as an engaged woman.

I actually didn't start thinking about wedding until I was in college. My junior year I took a marriage and parenting class because I heard you got to plan a mock wedding, lol. My wedding is total opposite from everything I planned in that class.

I ALWAYS dreamed of getting married, but never thought I would find someone. When my cousins and I were little, like maybe 8 years old, we started going through the Macy's and JC Penney's catalogs' wedding section. We would rip out all the dresses we liked and hair do's and save them. Keep in mind this started in like 1984... So about 10 years ago one of those cousins gets married. I found some of the pages I saved. Needless to say it wasn't our style 10 years ago and its not now. LOL.... It started out big poofy lacy shiny dresses, walking down the aisle with like 15 BM's, who wore hats, and then well we never planned the ereception, I guess since none of us had been to any at that point.
After I went to Italy in High School, my dream was to get married in Florence, Italy. When I did a study abroad in 2000 in Florence I used to see the couples in the piazza's taking pictures and I so wanted to be them. Unfortunately, when I met FH I realized that could never happen. My grandmother can't fly, his dad refuses to fly and now with this economy, we'd have no guests at all. So, I am getting married on a vineyard, which is the closest thing to Italy I can get. We are honeymooning in Italy though!
Oh and the dresses are not poofy!

I really didn't have visions of what my wedding would be but I was obsessed with Father of the Bride and I can remember thinking how I wanted her dress. Fast forward to 2010 when I just recently watched it...love the movie but I could never wear that dress, lol.

I definitely didn't think about my wedding when I was younger...I didn't start thinking about it until I had a wedding-obsessed roommate in college.

I've definitely changed my mind a couple of times about what I'd like...mostly on colors and stuff...but overall I don't think its been too tough making decisions (which is strange for me...I can never make a decision haha)

The one thing I had vision was a horse and carriage and I am not getting that. But everything else is working out so far.

I never ever really planned my wedding as a child and not even as an adult. Here and there I would see something in a magazine that would cause me to think about a potential wedding one day. Now that I am planning a wedding, all the ideas are flowing but I'm so restricted because of funds.
