Good Morning Ladies! Happy Pi Day!

I hope you are all enjoying my questions and theme so far I can't believe I'm already almost halfway through this week! I guess time flies when you're having fun

So Today's Theme is...

VENUE!!
____________________________________________________

Part One:
What was the final selling point for your venue that set it apart from the other venues you and FH were looking at and made you book? (Location, decor, size, extras they 'threw in', etc.)

Part Two:
Where do you and FH plan on living after the wedding? Describe your dream 'venue' or home for your family.

Our selling point was just that I didn't love any other place like Venetian. They also were so willing to work with us and give us the most for our dollar.

We will most likely be in an apartment after the wedding unless money wise something changes soon. Eventually I would like to be in a nice size house with a big kitchen, basement, huge yard, and in a nice area.

Part 1
We loved Floral Terrace because of its ambiance, location and price. It used to be a movie theater and we thought that was pretty neat. We love the detail in the ballroom especially the chandelier. We also know that the food is going to be excellent there. My coworker got married there and said everyone raved about the food. A Viennese hour is a nust-have for FH and our hall gave us a great price. We also like that the Viennese hour is outside the ballroom so the party won't stop during that time. To top it off, we loved Frank the BM.

Part 2
This is a tough one. FH and I currently live in Queens. We want to buy a house after the wedding. FH wants to stay in Queens. I wouldn't mind moving to li. Maybe I could convince FH that we could to move to an area that is not too far from Queens like New Hyde Park, Floral Park or Franklin Square. I would love to buy a split level ranch house with a nice sized backyard.

Part One

It was the second venue and I just fell in LOVE with it. I loved the atmosphere and the outside - plus Maureen really 'got us' as a couple. We were talking about how FH is going to be in the new Batman movie & her eyes lit up and she said 'you're walking in to the Batman theme right?!' We were planning on it, but I think that sold FH right then and there Plus they threw in a vienese portion if we booked by a certain date. We also looked at 8 other places and I couldn't have envisioned our wedding any place else. (I was even having dreams about it!)

Pretty cool! What character is he playing?

1) the watermill was beautiful and gave us soo much for our money. We loved the chapel room! They also threw in free stuff and took money off thr ceremony and per plate!

2) we rent a co-op now and plan to save save save after the wedding to buy something.

He's a police officer. If you go to IMDB and put in The Dark Knight Rises, when it comes to the cast page (hit it so it's the full page) hit control F and type in ZAL - his name will pop up in the credited roles. It's CRAZY!

Watermill was the first venue we went to. My FH and I loved the fireplaces. We wanted a place where it felt cozy. The price was good since we choose a Saturday in Feb.

My FH and I bought a house in November. It's my dream house! Deck, porch, basement, colonial and nice size backyard.

Part One:
Ooo this is a tricky one! I'm not sure if there was any one thing that sealed the deal for us. I loved talking to Jenn, my parents were sold by the giant list of food, the feeling of Fox Hollow was definitely close to what we were looking for, and it was close to hotels and their own Inn. But, when we walked into WGP FH & I both knew. I wanted a place that didn't need to be overly decorated to come to life. I also did not want anything marble or white and overdone-looking. The glass ceilings, waterfall, brick walls & fireplace did it for us

Part Two:
Right now we're looking at houses in our neighborhood, so hopefully we'll have a home to call our own and get back to after the wedding! Ideally, I'd LOVE a townhouse downtown lol but this neighborhood is pretty cute and has fantastic 1920s/30s era brick houses with yards and driveways - in the Bronx! I really want a house with a turret because I've always wanted a round room, FH wants a basement and we both desperately want a fireplace. Luckily a lot of houses around here have everything, so crossing fingers!

1: The inn at nhp has this amazing tuscany cocktail room which we fell in love with, we knew than! Also our consultant threw in special things and made us feel great.

2: We will live in an apartment in Astoria when we are married. His family owns the building.

1. I feel in love with the view at the Venetian Yacht Club. And the main ballroom is absolutely gorgeous. I orginally booked with Westbury Manor ; eventhough I really loved VYC. Something happened (it was nothing bad; I wanted to change back to my original date however in a matter of a day someone else had booked for that date) and I booked with VYC.

2. After we get married we will be staying at my mother's house for a littlwe while then move into my father's house (he will probably be moving outside of NY)

1. To be honest FH didn't go to any halls with me hahaha. But at SC, the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and accommodating so that set the mood. IDK what it was, but when I saw the veranda, where my ceremony will be, I just started to cry!!! That's when my mom knew I was booking there.
The Ballroom is stunning! Each room fit my vision I had for each--Ceremony-I wnated something romantic, but not cookie cutter
CH-A classy, elegant room
Ballroom-opulant, but with a party atmosphere
and SC matched that! Plus all the extras you get for your money, how could I say no?!

2. FH and I have our home and considering he was telling his cousin yesterday about wanting to keep the rooms upstairs separate for 'the kids', I guess this is where we are staying

Some places that we were looking at couldnt show us pictures of an indoor ceremony if it were to rain. I liked Watermill because it takes the stress of worrying about an outdoor ceremony with the indoor chapel. And we can still have the cocktail hour outdoors. And if it does rain, I like their indoor cocktail hour room too :)
Me and FH don't live together. We will most likely rent an apartment after the wedding and buy a house in a coupld more years.
