We used to go ice skating every year for my birthday (Dec 21st), and slacked off the last two years. I definitely want to start that again.

My family has a ton of traditions sooo we'll have to work hard to start our own. We've been decorating a tree together for years but to BE together on the holidays will be amazing. I also can't wait to share my Italian Christmas Eve with DH! We are hosting THanksgiving and hopefully will come up with some new things!!

We put up the Christmas tree on Dec 13th, because that's what we were doing the day he proposed. Dec 13th we order chinese (the fortune in the fortune cookie said 'denise, will you marry me?') and we decorate the tree....
I am hosting Thanksgiving this year with my family....so I am looking forward to that....

Well this holiday season is bittersweet for us. My parents are moving down to florida to join my only sister, so now my whole immediate family is gone. My husband's (teehee I said husband ) grandmother and aunt are also moving to florida to join the rest of the family. So this will be our first holiday by ourselves. But to lighten the mood, Im hoping to talk Chris into doing an annual thanksgiving day parade visit and then coming home to decorate for the holidays. We usually dont start decorating until two weeks before Christmas. Then for Christmas I really want to start getting into the habit of attending Church services and maybe we'll start then.

Christmas is huge on both sides so we actually split itup each year. This year we will be on a plane going to Aruba on Christmas morning,,so that may be a tradition I will like to keep going.. j/k
Setting up our tree together,,having that fresh out of the oven cookie smell in our house, decorating our house and having that warm cozy feeling...

We've lived together for a few years already, but I hope to set up some new traditions. This thread is giving me some good ideas!

In my family growing up, we always helped stuff each others stockings...scratch off lotto tickets were always big as well as candy that the person loves, socks, makeup etc...
So with that being said...DH will spend christmas with my family since his moved all the way to arizona and I plan to have a very special stocking for him fully packed..his family didn't do stockings so i thought its something he'd enjoy being part of :)

Last year's tree was chopped into firewood. This year, our first as a married couple, we will have the first fire of the season with the logs. His family had that tradition, we will carry it into our family.

We have lived together for a few years, so we kind of started our traditions already. I can't wait to have a baby and share our traditions with them!
