Today's QOTD has to do with our FHs..

Have you put FH in charge of anything for the wedding?

Nope! I think it would be impossible for me to relinquish control of any aspect of the wedding. That might sound horrible, but I'm very picky and also budget conscious, so I would be afraid of him doing something wrong or spending more money than we have to!

Edit: I think I may have been a little unclear with the wording of the question, but I meant to ask whether you've put FH in charge of something to do without your input. My FH is involved in each decision that we make, but I would not let him make wedding-related decisions without me.

No, all he has to do is show up

He has no patience for this stuff!!

Nope! if I put him in charge of something, it would never get done.

I do ask his opinion on everything I do and make sure he likes it too.

Might sound weird, but we do EVERYTHING together. There really isn't one decision we don't figure out together.

However, when it comes to the little things or figuring out invitations after already booking a vendor, it's all me. He just likes being involved with basic planning. He wants a say :)

I asked him what was something he wanted for the wedding...he said gambling table...he is no longer involved in any planning

That doens't sound horrible. I pretty much feel the same way. I was tryig to leave finding limo companies up to him but I did most (if not all) of the research. Needless to say I am making the appointment with the company for us to go to

ETA: I do involve him in decision making. And sometime si decide on little things then run it past him.

Nope! We do make all our decisions together, though. But I do all the research and reach out to vendors and make the appointments. Once I narrow it down, I ask for his input.

The one thing I did ask him to do was email his friend who is a DJ. In the end, it'll be me reaching out to more.

Definitely not!!! He's involved, sometimes moreso than I need him to be. haha But he is helpful when I need him. But he is not in charge of anything, that's for sure!

I tried to 'put him in charge' of finding a DJ. I ended up being more frustrated with him than anything and put an end to that quickly! Soooo no

We make the big decisions together, after I've researched the vendors that I think are the best for us........I like to keep him involved and he likes being part of the planning.

Although, I have put my FH completely in charge of the limos and hotel block.

FH is in charge of asking his bridal party to be in the wedding ... and I constantly have to yell at him to do it ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I am basically doing EVERYTHING. He has input but there is nothing else he is doing all alone and I may need to give him some tasks because I am dying here lol

I ask him for his opinion.. but if i put him in charge of ANYTHING.... it would NEVER get done.. he is so unreliable... i asked him to breakdown the budget.. and its a joke...he said he would make an excel spreadsheet.. he hasnt even downloaded excel ...

'in charge' might be the wrong wording but he has been helpful.

alot of it is him agreeing to stuff or puting in his two cents, but he is the one who found our DJ all by himself which was such a nice surprise and he's been looking into hotels also.
he's been really good with alot of stuff so the few things that he really wants i go along with... like colored vest not a big fan of the guys wearing bright colored vests but he is dead set on it, so be it - if thats all he wants go ahead! lol

So far no, because it probably would have never gotten done if 100% in FH's responsibility... LOL
I research all vendors, make appts., and then we make the final decision together on who to go with.
One thing that will be all FH is tuxes, I will not be going with him and the guys. I am a bit worried b/c sometimes FH has moments of funky style! hehe

Tuxes - but we both make the decisions about everything together (except my dress)

My FH is doing 95% of the planning, as he says 'I'm OCD, I have to be organized.'

He's been the one following up with our RH and the vendor waiver for our florist, and with the connections of his boss and aunt, set up our DJ and limo at a bargain rate.
