Re: QOTD2 February 6
we actually never do gifts on Vday, usually he just gets me flowers, and one time he wanted to be different so he got be 10 blown up balloons. I always harass him to write me poems, so far i have recieved 3 from him, the last one was the engegement one So i would def. prefer something made.

Re: QOTD2 February 6
We don't buy each other anything on Valentines day except chocolate from a speciality candy shop close by. We go out to a nice dinner, exchange chocolate and cards and that's it. We dont see the need to exchange gifts.
He has written me poems though. Once he wrote me this really sweet poem in a card, it was really sweet then he told me a few months later it was from some freestyle song, we were going to the freestlye extravaganza and he got worried I would hear it and realize what happened. I didn't care though it was the thought that counted.

FH is not so creative... he'd never make anything just because it isn't in his nature. but i would LOVE it he did.

I'd be happy. We aren't very materialistic and also we are busting our butts trying to save money so I wouldn't ever expect anything big. Especially in a 'blue box'--fh hates that store lol

Re: QOTD2 February 6
I would love it. In fact, that is what we do. We decided that the holiday is supposed to have value and meaning to a couple, not a dollar sign. So each year we set out to create our own special gift from the heart. It is so much fun. It is great. Last year I opened the door and there was a huge blow up bear holding an I love you sign and balloons. We had a romantic din. It was great. The memories we create are so special.

i would be very happy. its more personal like that, he loves when i write him notes or make him cards instead of buying them....and i never got that little blue box so im not expecting it lol......this year and next we are being cheap with the v-day gifts to save more $ for the wedding
