We used Glenmar and had two photogs, and when I called about our proofs they said we had about 500 in total.

That seems low to me.

How many did/does your photographer take on your day-of?

My contract says 500-1000 and we got a little over 800. To tell you the truth, I wish it were less b/c it's SO hard to choose with that many choices!

we were guaranteed at LEAST 500 but they said it could be more.

We were guaranteed at least 600 **printed** proofs but over 1000 (probably 1200-1500 or more) total pics that we'll get on disk.

They didn't guarantee me a minimum, but said they average about 1000.

My min was 1000 but we got back 1800. 500 isn't bad if the quality is good. You only need around 70/80 to make an album. Don't panic until you see the pics.
Edited to add: We got back every pic our photographer took at the end of the night. Maybe your photographer went through the pics and deleted the blurry one's or the doubles and only left you with the best pics.

We're also having 2 photographers and were told we'd end up with 1000+ ...
but in the end its quality over quantity... I'd rather have 500 amazing pictures than 1500 just ok pictures.

about a 1000 or more but my photographer is said to go nuts with the pics.

From Duet they guaranteed 600 in a box and 1,000 or more in total.
Between the two photographers (Jay's team) over 2,300 proofs we actually received on two disks.

I have to bump and update this. Dan & I got our pictures back from Glenmar. Two Photographers from 3-12:30pm (? - that was when our wedding ended) and we only got 580 shots total.

and I'm not thrilled with them either.

ETA - will the ladies who responded please let me know if they had 1 or 2 photogs taking that many pictures? I'm calling them today. I'm really upset.

Guaranteed 1000 and we actually got 1600 proofs...and I LOVE them ALL

He said at least a 1000 but probably closer to 1600!
