Quartet or small orchestra?

Any recommendations? I'd like to have them for the beginning of my reception (cocktail hour and possibly an hour into the dinner recepetion.)

Re: Quartet or small orchestra?

I would get what you can afford. I think a small orchestra is probably a lot of $$ just to have for one hour.

Re: Quartet or small orchestra?

I think it also has to do with what type of set-up you want.. do you want the orch/quartet to serve as background music?? if so, being that you said you wanted it for the cocktail, I would go with the quartet..
