Quartz countertop

Hi Girls,

I am in the process of picking out a countertop for our kitchen and we can't decide between 2 colors. They will be quartz, FH likes a lighter color and I like a dark color. FH's mom thinks that the dark Quartz will show more spots because Quartz has a lace overlay. Anyone know anything about this? Thank you so much.
