Queens Bakeries???

Does anyone know if Terrizzi Bakery in Astoria is any good? I always pass it and they look like they have nice cakes. Or if anyone can suggest a good bakery in Queens that will design any cake for me at a decent price. TIA!!

If you want an Italian bakery, La Dolce Italia in Forest Hills is very good. Oxford Bakery in Richmond Hill has delicious cakes too.

yeah I need a bakery to be able to design an exact cake for me just by looking at pics and me describing it to them. (the first one and sec one in my album). When Im at Avenue Cafe I sit across it and wonder if its good, the cakes they have displayed look decent.

i would go talk to them and ask to see pics of their fondant cakes.

Oh just so you know the designer of most of the cakes you have in your album is margaret braun

this is her design and her cakes are all similar style...there was an article in a wedding magazine and they picked the top 25 trendsetters of the year and she was one of 2 cake designers featured...they also had this Dj and she does all the celebrity parties, invitations and everything, it was a cool article...in the magazine they had pics of this cake and other ones, on her site theres not as many

Is $8-12 a good price for a slice, I have no idea what a cake goes for, do all of the bakers price by slice, how about like in the hundreds or whatever, like ok here is a cake it goes for $500??????

well colette has a minimum of $600. for fondant that is about average, well average is actually $6-8 a slice and yes they charge by the slice. IN LI you can find some places for less, the cheapest i found was $4.25 a slice in suffolk county. For e-party i must've called seriously at least 50 bakeries throughout the city and these were the prices, mostly $6-7 a slice, and i mean queens and brooklyn too. There is a guy on queens blvd who is real good and has gorgeous cakes, and he charges $7

in the end i just decided to get whatever cake clm gives and save the fondant cake for the wedding
