I need help finding somewhere nice and not too pricey for a minimum of 30 people. Hopefully in the $35 price range. I prefer closer to Astoria but pretty much anywhere in Queens near public transit will do. TIA!

We just had my sister in law's bachelorette party at Mojave. It was $35 a person and that included family style apps and a choice of 5 entree's and 2 drinks. The food was delish!! I would call them they were def. willing to work with us. P.S. It's in Astoria on 31st street right near the train.

I live right by there but I wasn't sure if they had a private room. Did you have the whole place to yourselves or another room?

I was contemplating a reception there since our budget, the executive chef is the one who I was talking to.. Glad to hear that the place is well regarded in the community though!

I went to a shower there this summer - the cake was the best cake I've ever had in my life. And the most gorgeous. It was a pound cake instead of sponge cake, with a skinny chocolate filling on top of a raspberry preserve filling, with maple buttercream on the outside.

Trattoria L'incontro has a beautiful back room. i think they have more than one. actually. 31st street astoria

It isn't a private room. It's just in the restaurant, but if you have enough people, they will probably close. My friend also had her christening there and they sectioned us off near the back.
