I'm in an apartment in Levittown which is about 10 minutes away from the LIRR (two different stations). How much are you looking to spend?

I just recently got married and still take a look at the posts now and again....

Check out apartments.com and rent.net

I live in Forest Hills and love the location but unless you want to pay for it, parking is really tough here (lots of apt buildings & alternate side of the street). As for sources of where to look, try Newsday and NY Times. Check them out on line. They update constantly and you can sort and search etc., We are in a similar situation, although we will stay in my apt till Nov 2001. Still I have been scouring the ads in both places, What about Roslyn? I have seen some reasonable stuff. Also it's a great LIRR stop (not too many stops before you so you will get a seat daily, fairly quick commute). Or Bayside, you can get to the city via LIRR or Express Bus. Good luck, please keep us posted.

We are getting married on March 17th. I grew up in Queens and then lived in Manhattan for 7 years. When I moved back to Queens, FH was such a great choice b/c it still is more surburb-ish but has that city flavor. My fiance calls it "Little Manhattan"...I would love to do the manicure meet. Afterall, since the ring came the nails always need to stay nice... When is your date/location etc.

Yes, I've heard nothing but elegance and first rate class about Russo's on the Bay. I know a couple getting married there in spring 2001...at $125 a head!!! Can't wait to enjoy that!!!

We are having the reception at the Milleridge Cottage. I am not faithful to one particular place in FH. There are so many and since I dont get tips/fills, I can afford to be less picky in that respect. Are you going to stay in FH after you are married? We are going to stay in my apt.until Nov 2001 when my lease is up. We want to buy a place but we dont want to have to get involved in that whole process while planning a wedding (besides we are paying for the wedding so who can afford to now...)

Did you choose your dress yet?
