Where are you taking your photos?? I'm getting married at Stewart Manor & though it's a lovely place you can see the houses in the background!

Since we are having our ceromony at the church (in Queens), we will take some pictures there and then hopefully we have good weather and then we will go down to the Beach (right down the block from church) and take some pictures. Then we will head to Stewart Manor and hopefully again depending on weather take some pictures outside and then inside in front of fireplace.

I also was wondering if we could go up on the car port if so I think I would like a picture up there with the photographer on the ground and then maybe vise versa, who knows.

Was that a professional photo?

The pic was taken by my sister. (it's alot clearer in person, I have no idea why it came out like that) But, it is one of the spots in the front where they take photos.

Hi-
I'm getting married at Stewart Manor too. We are taking the majority of our pictures before the ceremony at Stewart Manor in front of the fireplace. It is a winter wedding, so we're making no plans to take pictures outside. Perhaps we can get a few in the gazebo, but I fell in love with the fireplace, so I want my pictures there anyway. Good luck!

That picture is beautiful. I don't think you have anything to worry about. At least it's a pretty house in the background! I'm sure that a professional photographer can blur the background or take it closer up if you have concerns. Talk to your photographer. Otherwise there are plenty of good places to take pictures beforehand. My favorite is Wesbury Gardens!

My church was in Queens and my reception was in Nassau (Sand Castle), so like you, that was one of my concerns -- where do we go! But my photographer (Cassarino) suggested we go to Gerry Park, which is on the other side of the Roslyn Duck Pond (on Roslyn Road northbound) to take our pictures. We had gone to the Roslyn Duck Pond for my sister's, but there was a lot of duck poop (the pictures came out gorgeous though) and I didn't want to deal w/that issue again. On the other side is a watermill, gazebo and of course the pond. You get some really nice shots there (my pictures came out beautiful) and the best part is, no duck poop -- all cement!!!

Where in Queens is your church?

HOW FUNNY!! I was JUST mentioning the duck pond to my brother about an HOUR ago!!! (We used to go there when we were younger) My Church is in Queens Village (Our Lady of Lourdes) Is there a cost to take photo's at Gery Park? Do I have to contact anyone? I'll bring my Fi over there this weekend. THANKS!!!

There is no cost, at least that I know of, because if there was, I would have been told by Cassarino!! (I don't think they would have paid out of the kindness of their hearts!!! LOL ) Who is your photographer? Mention it to them. There were about 5 other bridal parties taking pictures at various spots the day I got married and nobody interfered with each other.

I'm not too familiar w/Queens Village, although I did live there the first year of my life!! I got married in Our Lady of Fatima in Jackson Heights, which is where I lived since my second year of life until I got married!!
